Mike, I've gotta admit I did feel a little guilty removing such a nice piece of selvedge (that had been constructed with such good intention). However, I felt the same as Unharmed: the inner pockets were in my way.

As Giles said, I think of it as customisation!

I decided against buying them (again). Measurements for a 32" wouldn't work for me waistwise, and a sz. 33 wouldn't for me thigh and legopening-wise… But I'll have two pairs of jeans (666-XHS and TW 666 15 oz) and two pairs of ducks (666D and 816 navy) in 2k13 so I'm good.
