Wrong.  The face of the two types of snaps is the same, the ONLY way you can tell is to see the reverse sided of the female portion or the face side of the male portion.  As you can't see those in any of the pics the answer is a "don't know"….I suspect they can be pimped, as the material is not too heavy, but we have no evidence to be definitive....

They are and the patch is being redone it actually a mess….And those arcs are staying....
