Hello chaps.

I've been on the hunt for some Alden 403 boots for some time now, but not having much luck.
I've got small feet and need a UK6.5 - I cannot find anywhere in the UK that carries them that small, or anywhere in the US that will ship a pair over here.

If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it!

According to Alden's store locator there are a few places in the Netherlands and Germany that stock their products.

The Dutch shops are probably a good starting point. The staff in Sir Max speak English, so I'd drop them an email, and see if they can help.

Just dropped my Indys off to get resoled with a Vibram lug sole. Excited to see how they look. Couldn't wear them if it was icy or wet out without slipping around.

Have you tried Moulded Shoe in NYC? I bought my Indys instore, but I believe they offer International shipping.

I'm having my Black Indys resoled with vibram rubber wedge sole..  Hope they turn out ok.

Fresh from getting a nice polish. Wore them picking pumpkins and the vines had done a number on them. They look almost new now!

Looks like a nice job to me. At least now you don't have to worry about breaking your neck with the normal sole. They are flat out dangerous in the winter.

I will eventually send mine out to Alden and replace  with commando soles.

Yeah there's no way I can wear the old sole in NYC during winter or any rain.

I had them done at B Nelson's in NYC. It cost about the same as sending to Alden I think but I was expecting it to be cheaper, that's why I went there. They did a good job. They can do the actual commando sole exactly like Alden does but I got the lug sole instead, seemed more aggressive. I really like the white welt stitching.

405 are some great boots, not as beefy as White's but I find them to be the most comfortable.

snagged this pair of alden's for brook brothers shell cordovan for a good price… but the sole's quite bad. anyone knows what kind of sole is recommended to change to? and what products would you use to buff up the leather? obenaufs LP? saphir? kiwi?
