-
Okay, sorry for lack of updates. Back from holiday and back to work - boo….only for a week - yay. MikeC - will measure tonight for you.
Part 2 of last week:
Went to Aldeburgh for the day, strolled along the beach. Unfortunately didn't get a shot of the Spitfire that flew over us really low.
"Come on son, it's Boot shopping first, then chips….."
Went to vist Mack shoes (as recommended by PaulT here:http://loomstate.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/trickers-tractors-and-wizards-in.html) and it was bloody well shut
. Never mind suppose I'll have to settle for some IHxViberg smokejumpers….
Nice shop over the road:
-
Next day back in Southwold, the sun came out again:
The Inland Lighthouse - (also home of Mr. Mentor the Inventor!)

Love the update MOD. Don't feel that you can't share your day to day life as well though. It's more interesting to other folks than you might think.
-
Great update MoD
-
Thanks guys.
Rafa - Thank you. if I'm not in it the pic then I've taken all of them.
SugarMountain - I totally agree with you, but I've just not had a chance. -

That's what I was afraid of when I have a go at this. Having a newborn kinda puts the clamps on us doing anything overly exciting. I am glad to hear u say this

My job involves lots of these:
and one of these:
I work in a large theatre, which is closed at the moment due to the new Library of Birmingham being stuck onto the side of it.(more on this later). We've been relocated to some offices in the Jewellery Quarter, so all our gear is packed up and cased, and we're doing a reduced programme of shows in various other venues around the city.
A corner of the store room:

It just happened I went on holiday a day after recieving the WTs, back to normal life now
oh, and hope it's all going well DD, getting enough sleep ?!

Brilliant update MoD, really enjoying your leg of the tour

The last night of our holidays there was this amazing sight:
back home, we went to see In the Night Garden:
most of the kids were a bit restless after 20 minutes and a there were a few genuinely terrified toddlers screaming their heads off.Grabbed some apples from the garden last night:
chucked them in a pot with some raisins and cinnamon…...
porridge topping sorted for the week.
then knocked up some guacamole and salsa….
-
A bit more cooking.
A little drink first…..
ingredients…
in go some onion, garlic, courgette and beetroot….
add tomatoes. purple pasta sauce.
another drink…
something I preordered in May turned up
here's where we live. We're about 4 miles from the centre of Birmingham. That's my Citroen. Off for a stroll….
just round the corner isWilli WonkasCadburys
part of the factory (employee's swimming baths)
the sports ground
When you walk through the factory the smell of chocalate is almost too much.,I was salivating and wanted to stuff a load of choc bars into my face.
George Cadbury, a Quaker, started the company way back when and built a load of housing and well, a whole village for his employee's. No bloody pubs though…... or off licences either. It's absolutely beautiful, here's the school
and over the road is the art college. I studied Graphic Design here when I was 16.
this is Selly Manor, which was built in the 1300s sometime. Mr Cadbury had it moved from about mile away as it was to be demolished.
then off to the park on the musical slide
more music when we got home
-
emceeQ - this is book 2 of his current series, the first one being "X'ed out" (which reminds me - I'll post more details in the comics thread I started
)
[size=2]Seul - I know, I know… but there's this bloke on some forum who says he'll sell me a dream car, a real nice runner, a Peugeot I think he said it was......
-
Still probably an improvement over a Citroën…
