Once you've had a good haircut, you'll look at the experience in a completely different light. A bit like going to the dentist's… As for people commenting "oh, you've had it cut", that normally lasts for a day or two and then people move on to talking about the weather or TV.
I'm behind MikeC's recommendation of taking it down to shoulder length. Or you could really have a lot taken off but keep enough on the front and top for a backcombed look (with product).

Just go ahead and shave it. The sight of your ghostly white, lumpy skull will so frighten and disgust people that they will refrain from commenting. Perhaps from even talking to you at all.

Fuck all this head shaving noise. Go to a hair stylist, NOT a barber and tell them to cut it shoulder length, but to make it look like it was never cut. It should look like it grew out naturally. Make sure they don't layer it like chicks hair either. You may have to be kind of a dick because hair stylists like to think they know what is best for you and they will do what they want and hope you like it. Also, say no fucking product too, I hate gel, leave in conditioners, etc, etc.
MP, I think that if you get your hair done like I said and keep the goatee, women should be kicking your door down. That's my 3cents….

I'm with Mike on this one, too. Go some place that will listen to what you want it to look like. Save some pictures to your phone so you can show them and get hair that makes you feel awesome. You'll be shocked how much confidence a good style can boost.

couldn't see a thread involving a discussion about long hair and not participate! M_P, as a fellow member of the long hair club I am obviously biased towards it as a style generally speaking but, since you asked for thoughts, I really do think getting it around shoulder length and maybe straightened out a bit would look way better on you. do it!

I'm not saying that your hair does look like ... the way you're rocking it ATM, but you definitely are in urgent need of a change buddy!
let it cut to shoulder length without making it look like your hair has been cut at all (sth. like MikeC said!)...and definitely treat your hair with some products lad (conditioner etc.) since they really look like they're in urgent need of vitamins and other shit. so they'll look smooth and "fresh" again.maybe vin can help you out with what is the right cut for you, since I think he knows his game pretty good?!
I already can picture you with shorter and smoother looking hair, tied together to a little ponytail!…
btw. your look when wearing a bandana would also appreciate from shorter hair...just saying!
