        I even said that I'd let her buy a fire extinguisher if it bothered her that much  :-\

          I pretty much rebuilt my old 1975 Honda CB360 Twin in my living room of my old apartment, glad it was
          downstairs and I lived alone… 😉

                @Megatron1505:

                Unfortunately I had to sell it to buy furniture when Pam and I moved into our first home  😞

                Why? Bikes are perfectly good pieces of living room furniture.

                        how "easy" is it, to repair/restore a bike on your own btw. …i somehow have the idea, copping myself an old broken bike and turn it into sth. like my own DIY project for a year or more...should be fun!

                        what do you guys think?...

                                thanks for the answer…i´ve only worked with mopeds and scooters so far...but a "real bike" should be way more challenging and fun at the same time...only time can tell though and if i´m going to do such a project, i´ll def. update in here o/course!...

                                  Wondered this same thing.  My dad had an old Norton (probably late 60's early 70's) sitting in the garage since I was a kid.  Probably wouldn't take much work, but I couldn't sell my wife on the idea.  Still not sure what to do about it as it is sitting at my sister's house.

                                      Haha, probably need to take a look at it first, not sure exactly what condition it is in.  I was having trouble convincing my mom to sell it.

                                        Go for it.  With the amount of information available on the 'net, and the fact that there's just not much to a motorcycle, it's been pretty easy in my experience.
