sure, it's just for comparison, and to show the price-range of almost pristine machine. I think there is a bit to negotiate, but not much.

At the request of MadMonday, here's some better pics of my 75' Ironhead.

Giles, you're pretty tall and might find something like a Sportster to be on the small side. I certainly did, and one of the reasons I ride a BMW is that it's the right sort of size for me.

The Ducati is a sweet looking bike. 😘

If you're looking for inspiration then I'd suggest checking out Bike EXIF. They feature a lot of Triumphs and Harleys, but there seem to be a few old Beemers featured.

And occasionally a custom Gold Wing…

My favourites are what Ritmo Sereno is doing with '70s BMW Boxers.

Apologies if I've ruined anyone's productivity for the day. 😉

Thanks for the advice.  Currently on a hunt for that Ducati.  If I can find one and get it shipped to Michigan within next 2 weeks, I can get it shipped here for nothing…...

Up to now, this is the only motorbike that I have ever owned. It was absolutely awful, but I loved it….unfortunately I had to sell it to buy furniture when Pam and I moved into our first home  😞

I even said that I'd let her buy a fire extinguisher if it bothered her that much  :-\

I pretty much rebuilt my old 1975 Honda CB360 Twin in my living room of my old apartment, glad it was
                            downstairs and I lived alone… 😉

Why? Bikes are perfectly good pieces of living room furniture.

how "easy" is it, to repair/restore a bike on your own btw. …i somehow have the idea, copping myself an old broken bike and turn it into sth. like my own DIY project for a year or more...should be fun!

                                          what do you guys think?...
