i am a massive lurker on sufu.

Me too deadendpro. I'm a bit ashamed about it. I could be doing more productive things.

i'm known enough on the mynudies forum to be able to post casually in the threads and topics that i frequent, but i know how sufu works, so i'm learning learning learning so that i can offer good answers to questions that others will not want to take the time to or just skip, that and i dont want to say something that gets me negged. and with only 10 rep power, a high person negging me will be fatal  😞 so i lurk, learn and offer help when i can  🙂 and post on the Denime x Take 5 contest page. hahaha

its really not as easy/simple as it sounds… here are some examples, then let me know if you still would want to try it.  😉

        Cultizm 09/10 contest- http://mynudies.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8590

        Take 5 x Denime 2 year contest (the one i'm in)- http://mynudies.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8898

        SUFUxSExDB- http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showthread.php?t=147585

and this is one that has yet to be established completely, it takes a lot of time, money and communication to get these types of contests underway.

^ it wont really be a contest if those are the requirements. I know Ed (demonito) was in a contest with take 5 where all of the contestants were able to buy any kind of jean, but they all had to be purchased from that store. And the goal of a contest is about 5% winning and 95% everything else. contests have a nice sense of communal 'struggle', for lack of a better word. Everyone will have the goal of fading and the comparing and contrasting isnt really as big as the asking other contestants about what they were doing when something tore or when they had a very particular fade, etc. Also, contests have a very nice way of helping people size their jeans. For example, one person might own a few different pairs of denim from only flat head while another contestant may have eternals and fullcounts; those two people can base how they sized their jeans into how they have sized other jeans in the past and come to a more sound conclusion about which size they will get. Be it the 1001, 811's or 0105.

If you do have an idea for a contest man feel free to mention it to people and on other forums. While you will get plenty of people who are busy or cant afford, there will be a group of individuals who will def try to do it because they like the group attempt at demonstrating the awesomeness of jeans. As was seen in the uber mega epic Skull Jeans Contest. And if you can get enough people and the right connects, you might be able to talk your way in to being able to get custom jeans for the contest…or at least something small to add a level if uniqueness to your and other contestants pairs.

Agreed. This shit is getting ridiculous. It is like every Thread has parts of others in them. My OCD is gonna kill me on this forum…

Guys, I'm going to have to get militant.  If you start messing/spamming up threads with stuff that is irrelevant to the thread title, I will either delete it or move it (making stacks of work for me, which I don't need).

You have plenty of flexibility to create new threads if you need to.  So please do that rather than go off topic.

The net result of this anarchy is that the thread loses its relevance, makes the forum really difficult to navigate and puts both existing and new members off contributing.

Let's have some sort of discilpline please.

(Shit, I just went off topic)

I've been doing this quite a bit lately. I've just been out of town for the last two days and didn't get on top of this one

Shirts with chainstitch run off rules! 🙂 Especially ones with really cool thread color. I find that they provide additional ruggedness to the shirt and for the ones in the know a level of elite branding without a name marketed for the general population.

im a fan.  when i was a kid growing up skateboarding i always liked christian hosoi not only because he shredded but because he has style.  he used to always have bandanas hanging out of his pocket and when he skated it would flow behind him….thats sorta what i like about the chainstitch run off,  it just makes the shirt look alive when youre wearing it.

I just wear them until they fall of on they're own. It is just part of the design aesthetic and personal preference to keep it or cut it. Funny actually, I went to help my mom out with something last week and was wearing my IHSH-13 and she walked by with scissors

Just reading this thread… Hahaa! That e shishits funny.

Funny thing is, I had to search this topic because I'm starting to think they look a a bit untidy, and want to burn them off. Also people keep saying you have threads hanging off a nice shirt mate.

I've taken it off 1/2 of mine, and left it on the other 1/2. If they stand out or get in the way they come off. There's no functional reason for them…

I think on the flannies they look cool. But the one colour dressier shirts I think it makes them look a little unclean or less smart on that bottom edge.

Surely the feature of a chain stitch run off on a shirt like the IHSH-102 is the same as a selvedge seam on a quality pair of jeans. It's presence alludes to; the level of quality and skill as well as the specialist machinery  involved in realising the product.

I think it is a cool detail, but I usually cut it off.
