IHAS-02 - Mid Weight Horse Hide Western Shirt
-
If you do a true type III, short as Giles maintains they must be, I would suggest it in deer or naked leather or some such, maybe even unlined. Can't imagine how thick/short/bunchy a FQHH one would be, although Aero has a HH they call "vintage" or "tumbled" or some such–and that might work for it. Still, I think it might be best just a tad longer than a denim one.

I put this on this morning–we have a cool day--so I have about 6 straight hours in it now. As opposed to the 6 months it needs. I'll send fit pics, down the road a bit when it makes sense, but I'd like to say a few things, while it's new, hard, and unbroken.
First, this comes as no surprise to anyone on this list, it is unique and great. The combo of IH and Aero is very cool. It reflects all the heritage and what I like about both places. You can see/feel the combo of style and substance, craft and common-sense, earth and fantasy, in this piece. So, kudos to the makers, thank you....
Next, the fit is near perfect. This is really hard to do. I have had a number of leather shirts, some custom, not one as close to a good fit as this. Complete freedom of movement, no sags, arms feel right, I can work in this shirt--labor, that is--which I will, come autumn.
Tremendous value, Giles. Thanks, again.
