Does anyone have experience re-softening hardened crepe soles?  If so, please PM me.  Thanks.

Can you do this?  I found a pair of nice, old Clarks in my parents attic (Made in UK), but the crepe sole was rock hard.

Out with the new! In with the old!

In theory.  I've read a few diff techniques, now I'm just trying to find someone who's done it.

nameness, I believe that when crepe sole (natural rubber) has hardened, there is no proper way to re-soften it.
This topic has been studied with old mc parts, and no reliable solution has been found, sorry.

            Maybe resole them?

thanks, IJ.  figured that may be the case.  i'll definitely re-sole 'em, just liked the crepe.

captain - I've bought two pairs of boots from William Lennon. The traditional work boot and the tan waxy leather sole boot. The trad. work boots are amazing, (as were the tan waxy, but I didn't get on with them - beautifully made but just not great for my feet, so sold them on here). Good sturdy construction and a great price.
Paul T did a fantastic pictorial post of a factory visit on his blog:

I've been tempted to ask them for a custom job, but not got round to it. I'm know they can customise to a certain degree. Be prepared to wait at least 4 weeks, though I've found a polite email around the four to five week mark usually gets things moving quickly!

I've got a pair as well; solid build quality, decent price.  A bit slow to break in, but not uncomfortable, even from the very beginning.

A very nice price for what looks like a well crafted boot.

Should work. Make sure once you click add photos that the Album Title comes up. Also, you can always "edit" the album and move the photos to your desired location. I know that isn't the answer you were looking for but it is a option.
