Sorry, I should qualify - if you are concerned about it looking even half way nice, dont bother.

Lucifer - I mean, I would definitely not do it on anything you care about. Could be fun to experiment with free, cheap, or old items. Listen to h if you were thinking about anything but.

Ok, guys, thanks 🙂 Just getting desperate, went trough all the "denim"-stores in Oslo today, noone had a decent denim shirt with dark threads, dark buttons and decent weight denim. Seriously crappy stuff. I wish I never saw that RT overdyed workshirt 😛

think Beats did some self OD experimental stuff, to lazy to search for this now, but sure you can find it somewhere here around. And as the guys says, wouldn't do that with a quality piece, but with 2nd hand item, or a cheap old Levi's or whatever why not, worth a try, just don't expect perfection…

These are the three threads I found in a quick search that have to do with Overdying and Overdying Projects. I also dyed a pair of vans somewhere on here. Hope it helps.

                Thanks!

Thinking about getting a cheap shirt ( http://www.sullivanuniforms.com/uniforms/SD78DN/denim-shirts/Red+Kap+Denim+LONG+SLEEVE+Western+Work+Shirts.html or something) and try to get my hands on some indigo dye.

                Edit, found this: http://www.paradisefibers.net/Instant-Indigo-p/2391.htm

Can you do this?  I found a pair of nice, old Clarks in my parents attic (Made in UK), but the crepe sole was rock hard.

In theory.  I've read a few diff techniques, now I'm just trying to find someone who's done it.

nameness, I believe that when crepe sole (natural rubber) has hardened, there is no proper way to re-soften it.
This topic has been studied with old mc parts, and no reliable solution has been found, sorry.

                            Maybe resole them?

thanks, IJ.  figured that may be the case.  i'll definitely re-sole 'em, just liked the crepe.

captain - I've bought two pairs of boots from William Lennon. The traditional work boot and the tan waxy leather sole boot. The trad. work boots are amazing, (as were the tan waxy, but I didn't get on with them - beautifully made but just not great for my feet, so sold them on here). Good sturdy construction and a great price.
Paul T did a fantastic pictorial post of a factory visit on his blog:

I've been tempted to ask them for a custom job, but not got round to it. I'm know they can customise to a certain degree. Be prepared to wait at least 4 weeks, though I've found a polite email around the four to five week mark usually gets things moving quickly!

I've got a pair as well; solid build quality, decent price.  A bit slow to break in, but not uncomfortable, even from the very beginning.

A very nice price for what looks like a well crafted boot.

Should work. Make sure once you click add photos that the Album Title comes up. Also, you can always "edit" the album and move the photos to your desired location. I know that isn't the answer you were looking for but it is a option.
