I use Obernauf's oil on mine whenever I feel they need it, usually after they've been in the washer!

why not?…i think if olive oil is good enough for us peops to cook with i think it´s seriously good enough to maintain the leather patch of your jeans, right?

though i don´t think this will happen, since i´ve used it on some of my leather patches and never had any kinda problems, just smooth leather patches!

Most of my denim related activities don't involve paying attention to my denim. It's doing stuff in my denim. My life is complicated enough as it is

if I apply oil to my patches I always do it before I go to bed. i apply it with a sponge (just a little, not much!) then, after I wake up, I just put my jeans back on and done!…

no…you only tan your natural leathers to darken them up! they don't need to get tanned at all actually!

Too much sun is unhealty, remember to use sun tan lotin with sufficient protection I'd say at least #15. If you stay long in the sun, it's better use sun block with rating #30 or more….

huhhuh.... are you serious???  Rafa just said to you: I just put my jeans back on and done.  Which part you didn't get?

but others do sun tan their leather stuffs right? can't I seek a reason why he doesn't sun tan his leather patch? maybe it'll cause drying or cracking or maybe it doesn't matter? so is asking questions wrong, einstein?

and the part I don't get it is, why are you always snapping my heels whenever I post? I'm not asking you questions am I? why so nasty to others? cos you're a old timer here and you reckon you can go around snapping at others?

I may ask a lot of questions but at least it's related to IH stuffs isn't it? and at least I get stuffs from G and not just ask and disappear or whatsoever.

lastly, if my questions bothers you, you can ignore them. if you can't bring yourself to ignore them, then I'm sorry there's not much a choice left. 🙂

thanks for answering. it certainly cleared my doubts. 🙂 cos I saw in some forums that people tan their red wings, leather belt and etc. so I was wondering the reason behind it and is that a must for all leather stuffs including our IH leather patch.

will try the olive oil tonight and see how it goes. thanks mate! 🙂
