Care For Your (Denim/ Wool/ Cotton)
-
Hey Mr. Administrator,
this post wasnt a "care for your denim" post but rather a "denim poetry / art / lifestyle" post!
Would you rather it here: http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=179.0 ? Either way, there is a thread for this. Otherwise title your thread poetry and denim soaking or something. Not every post needs a new thread. Great photos though!
no Lando, I'm cool
thanks for the administration job, by the way -
damn mate…how many
pairsbitches you were soaking?
great video sir!…about 10 and my IH27 shirt, which I LOVE.
There is a number (too many in fact) that I dont wear because I spend most of my time in the 634XHS and when I dont wear this one, I wear the 24oz dark blue PBJ's. I used to wear the SR's but these have been relegated to the bottom of the pile of active pants.
Those I do not wear at all are the light weight pants (the Evisu x Sugarcane or the lightweight PBJ's) and the 634S's. I wish there were more legs or I could change during the day because I love those S's and even the light PBJ's (incredible texture and color, I'd love a slubby IH model one of these days)… Also, I've gained a size and some since 2010 and some of my 31's are too tight. Maybe this Summer when the heavy heavy ones are too hot... and when I've regained some thinness...

just wondering do you guys do anything to the leather patch? oil it or leave it? what oil? mink oil? some how after soaking the 666S, the leather patch feels so stiff and rough now. compared it with my 634S, totally different.
is it because the patch was soaked in hot water so it's dry? then we gotta oil it and all?
sorry if this was asked before or it sound stupid to any of you. I never had issues with levis jeans cos they weren't leather. hope you guys can understand.

no wonder! I soaked mine with pretty hot water. so use what kinda oil? mink oil? there's also obernauf oil and etc right? I'm confused with the oil thing. which is good for our leather patch?

you even can use normal olive oil if you don't have special oil for leather around!…
are you serious?! I'm still looking for the word joking in your post. hahaha.
so you use normal olive oil for yours?

why not?…i think if olive oil is good enough for us peops to cook with i think it´s seriously good enough to maintain the leather patch of your jeans, right?

^ that looks awesome Doug. how much do you apply? just spread around the patch? the back of the patch?
and after applying the olive oil, how long do you wait before you can use it? and, we don't need to sun tan it after applying olive oil? thanks!

I've been into high end denim for about five years now, and the fascination of obsessing over my jeans has passed
If there's anything that's more involved than washing my jeans when they're dirty is required, I ignore it
Most of my denim related activities don't involve paying attention to my denim. It's doing stuff in my denim. My life is complicated enough as it is
