I find that the limiting measurement is the chest measurement, not the shoulder measurement

I know violence is not the answer, I got it wrong on purpose

chest? mine measured at 40-41 while my shoulders are about 17" so a medium? would it shrink a lot till I can't fit? and I'm also looking to get the 526J but I'll be wearing both with a shirt inside. thanks a lot!

Yeah, that sounds about right. I wear a L and I'm around 42" around the chest

It says right there on the page to expect half a size of shrinkage

So it would go from 42" all around to 41"…

so you reckon I should get medium for this shirt and the 526J?

Hey Volcano, don't forget this shirt comes in 2 versions.  The regular version shrinks about a half size when washed and the OD version (which G is wearing) will not shrink.  The OD process effectively taken all the shrinkage out.

^ yeah I know about that. but I prefer this version instead of the OD. and it seems I'm a medium as mentioned by G. 🙂

Thanks Rafa, I'm struggling to mentally comprehend if it is a shirt or a jacket. I think it might be the perfect combination of both, and therefore the ultimate in versatile top half clothing. I can't wear the IHW-01 so much, as it is a hefty piece of clothing, but this is such a great weight that I can see it getting lots, and lots of use…...might even displace my 33 as my most worn top.

just tried on my IHD-01 and I've to say its definitely a very thick shirt. my aunt called me when the parcel arrived and said, "your jacket and belt have arrived". I said no, it should be a shirt. and we debated for a short while.

anyway it's hanging to drip dry now. can't wait to wear it out tomorrow even though the weather in singapore is insanely hot. 😃

I don't think you can classify it as a shirt or a jacket to be honest, it sits somewhere in between.
