And since Daddy Viberg learnt how to make shoes in Northampton, UK….

pretty fecked…eyeing a pair of viberg chukkas in 8.5 - and quoting foxy - these should be a half size too big in the end...something an insole could get rid of?

yeah i think you´re right there Chris…the money wouldn´t go to viberg directy, there´s an auction running, but still i don´t think i´d be happy with´em!

Yeah, I didn't mean pay them directly, I was referring more to the amount their boots typically go for.

you guys wear the same size in those brands?

i´m a US9 in rw and yuk. …should i size up when choosing a viberg chukka or same size?

              thanks in advance.

I wear a US 9/UK 8 in RW and all of my Vibergs are in 9!!!

ha, I just wanted it to be clear I wasn't trying to devalue Viberg as a brand.

My feet measure US11,5D on a Brannock device, so my standard UK size would normally be 10,5 yet I take a UK10 in Viberg to compensate for their heels being pretty wide, the shoes start out very snug that way, but the leather does stretch over time (I'm a US11 on Barrie and Trubalance last for Alden as added reference)… hope this helps ...

Volls sell Viberg, Yuketen and RW, they sould be able to give you a sizing advice. Don´t be complicated. 😉

FWIW, I am US 10.5, and my Vibergs are 9.5 and fit perfect.

think would only go for the 1st ones, mixture of quality and some extravaganza, but still don't see me spending $700 or whatever bucks…

Since we had loads of snow last night I'm going to pop out my Short Shifts for the first time this winter 🙂

Edit: decided to take them for a resole. Chose a brown Vibram commando sole which probably is a better choice for winter duty than the wedge sole since it still was too slippery. I hope it turns out nice..
