not owning a pair of rw chukkas, sry for confusion, but i´m looking at a pair of viberg chukkas and i want to compare them to the boot size (rw or yuk.)…

same size or 0.5up in the viberg chukkas, compared to my boots!

I can not speak for Viberg or RW chukkas, that's the risk you have to take unless you get to try on a pair.

in theory the conversion from US to UK should be -1

however, this is the theory (there is no law) and it does not consider fit/last/brand, not to mention the question if RW sizes are absolute or true…
a Viberg 6.5 in Service/Army boots feels too tight to me - I can live quite comfortly with a Viberg 7.

(better 1/4 size too big than 1/4 size too small!)

It shouldn't matter - usually, Viberg only quotes in one size, their size.

(I believe it is similar, based on UK size since Viberg is a Canadian company.)

pretty fecked…eyeing a pair of viberg chukkas in 8.5 - and quoting foxy - these should be a half size too big in the end...something an insole could get rid of?

yeah i think you´re right there Chris…the money wouldn´t go to viberg directy, there´s an auction running, but still i don´t think i´d be happy with´em!

Yeah, I didn't mean pay them directly, I was referring more to the amount their boots typically go for.

I wear a US 9/UK 8 in RW and all of my Vibergs are in 9!!!

My feet measure US11,5D on a Brannock device, so my standard UK size would normally be 10,5 yet I take a UK10 in Viberg to compensate for their heels being pretty wide, the shoes start out very snug that way, but the leather does stretch over time (I'm a US11 on Barrie and Trubalance last for Alden as added reference)… hope this helps ...

Volls sell Viberg, Yuketen and RW, they sould be able to give you a sizing advice. Don´t be complicated.
