I wear mine as a jacket and didn't size up.

We continue to have this dicussion pages and pages later.  It really obviously varies from person to person.  What is the limiting factor in your sizing?

For me, I can fit a medium, but the shoulders start to be tight.  Larges provide more room in the shoulders, but the provide almost too much room in the stomach/waist area.  Then again, I have broad shoulders for my height and this is a consistent problem with me across all brands.  So of course, I would suggest to size up to layer.

The real question you should ask yourself is this.  Do I have another IH shirt?  If the answer is yes, ask yourself how roomy it is.  Could you fit another shirt under it comfortably?  Also, how tight do you like your shirts to begin with?

I guess I just don't understand why there have to be so many pages in this single thread withGiles giving advice to size up to layer, while DrPat always chimes in to say that you should stay true to size.  For new buyers, it is obviously confusing to do this.

I suggest looking at the fit pictures of members and the info on their sizing in the guide Giles has so graciously provided for us.  Giles pics show that he usually goes for a more relaxed fit, while DrPat's pics show that he likes his shirts tight.  In my opinion, the difference between sizes in Ironheart is not that big.  If you want to comfortably layer and like your clothes to fit more relaxed like Giles, size up one.  If you like it to fit tight like DrPat, go TTS.

Appreciate all the feedbacks/tips. I am aware of the constanst questions being asked about sizing and I know how annyoing it can be. Me being lazy, didn't feel like looking through all the pages again and finding out the answer for myself.

I pretty much asked in case the only XS left got taken and I was stuck with the S. As XS is the size I usually get for shirts this is my main choice, but in the unfortunate event it gets taken, using this as an overshirt/jacket would render this to nightime/winter wear in my neck of the woods. And as I've read, this shirt is awesome, so I'd like to wear it more than just nightime/winter.

But anyways, thanks for all the help guys. XS shirt, S overshirt/jacket and M just cause;)

        I'm as ugly as you

nah doc, your shirts aren't tight.

i would call them a very well tailored look.

I was more trying to prove a point than make a comment about your shirts.  Though, I doubt it will be heeded.

Fair enough. You're doing that jacket some justice.

The amount I harassed G about it, I feel that I should wear it every day to justify his patience with me  😉

                                        Not a problem.

I just imagine someone going into it and saying, Lando, why do you have 20 shirts that are exactly the same and can only really be worn in the winter.

I suppose you could just say you are hoarding for some kind of apocalypse or nuclear winter.

Thomas, I have been hoarding my who life, just in a much more organized way than is portrayed on the show "Hoarders." I guess the same could be said for my massive collection of IH Flannels and shirts, jeans, jackets, etc, etc. To most people it looks like just a bunch of flannel shirts or a pile of jeans. The same is true for the IHW-01's for someone who is a IH enthusiast. There are intricate details (ie satin lining/ button holes) that change on each incarnation. I have no doubt Haraki-San will modify improve next years version for all of us.
Oh and let me not forget, these can be worn NOT just in Winter. I will prove it to you come Summer in NYC, promise.
