Same here, 2X 30C washes no shrinkage but also got some fuzziness!

My next question is:  If it is fuzzy, would it pill :(?

I have not noticed pilling on any IH flannels.

In general, cotton doesn't pill because the fibers are weak enough to break off.  Synthetics have much stronger fibers and can tangle to form pills.

I will get some pictures when I get home. The fabric on these is very different from previous IH heavy flannels.

I've been babying mine from last year and the year before but after buying one of Gile's old beater heavies that had a lot of wear and wash, I've decided to just wash whenever in cold water.  They look better well worn I think.  Shrinkage is minimal with cold wter and air dry.

                            RIP, Geo

I wouldn't mind washing it, as it's supposed to be stubborn and really durable. But I'd have to spill some serios stuff on it before I do so.

Haraki, he say, exactly the same construction as the IHSH-31 and 32.  I wonder if it is the fact that it is a solid colour that the fuzziness is noticeable….

Here's a pic of the fuzziness on mine, It's not bothering me as I don't think it's going to pill and only really shows in certain light conditions.

I think you may be right Giles, if it was patterned it would be less obvious, not that it's that obvious anyway imo.
