The thread use is polycotton.  You can stop it getting any worse by melting the tag end of the yellow threads with a lighter and nubbing it into the hem.  I have a pair (of standard 666) with a 2 inch gap that have not got worse in months after doing that.  Not saying that is the solution, but it does slow down the process…

If you can, get a needle and pull the top thread (indigo side) that is loose through the denim to the reverse side at the same point the other thread is loose.  Tie a the 2 pieces of thread together so the knot is touching the denim.  Cut to about 2 cms, then light the thread with a match or lighter, when the flame gets to the denim, nub the flame out with a your finger.  This makes a firm melted blob of thread that should not indo…

You guys had me worried… had to run downstairs to check my hems, they are tight and secure!  I have seen some stitching failure in the past with other jeans (before I converted to the one and only God) and have found that a bit of super glue at the point of failure stops it in its tracks.

IH-666-XHS look amazing.  I’ve been living in my IH-634-XHS size 36s for some time now and I’m tempted to score a pair of these in the same size.  Anyone that has both care to offer any advice?
I owe the members some pics.
Thanks Rocket also for the advice.  It worked out well.

                                          RIP, Geo

Here's the thing….I'm comfortable now in my 634-XHS in the seat and thigh.  They may even be a little big but imo, perfect.
IH-666-XHS in a 36 has about a 13 inch thigh which might take some getting used too.

The stretch, just not as much as that pussy 21oz denim  😉
