yeah that sounds really bad, in which way did the overdying process wrecked the jeans?

Well, in this particular case, the culprits were a 301 type cut, so the side seams were whipped (the side seams of the 301 type cut are not selvedge).  The overdye process effectively ate the crap out of the whipping and the side seams disintegrated.  We had to bin them, all 100 pairs…....Of course, this is not likely to be an issue with the xhs, but it illustrates how we can be caught out.  And the xhs are simply too costly. I'm not up for the risk......

If you are very very very brave, you can always overdye your pair on your own… I did it on an old Levi's jacket, and the result was pretty satisfying. But with a denim so extreme and peculiar, I don't think it's worth to try.

I don't need the ODs, my post was in context with Giles saying that they had lost a run of jeans while doing the OD job…

and I'm with you I would not try that on the 25oz...

Alright guys, I need some help.  I am about to pull the trigger on a pair of these but I am a little concerned about the size.  I have the 634s in 36 waist and they fit well. They feel kind of tight but not bad.  I have 634s-b in 36 and they fit so much better than my regular 634s (they just seem to me more roomy without being baggy. They also are longer).  I have 634s in 38 and I like them for riding the bobber around and stuff like that. They are baggy and not the best fit for me but I love the room they provide for movement.

                                  WHAT SIZE SHOULD I ORDER?

I don't want to screw up on a $500 pair of jeans.

As Rocket said, the 25oz just give you a touch more breathing space..they were spot on straight away.

Hey everyone.  Got a questions for all you 634 XHSers out there.  Has anyone sized up on this? I'm debating between a 31 and 32 waist.  I'm not sure what I should get.  Has anyone had experience with these that are too tight or too loose?  Thanks in advance for your input.
