I have been searching for what I call my "unicorn" sweater for years. I call it a unicorn because I know it's out there, and I've never seen it, but I'm pretty sure it exists, right?

It's a tough search, but I'm up to the task.  Thanks!

Seawolf, have a look at S.N.S. Herning, their website seems to be down atm, but you get a idea here: http://www.endclothing.co.uk/brands/s-n-s-herning

is this something you looking for http://www.endclothing.co.uk/brands/s-n-s-herning/s-n-s-herning-fisherman-full-zip-cardigan.html ?

That's a great start! Thanks for posting up those links. It's not quite what I'm looking for, but then again, I don't really know what I'm looking for. That's the problem! I'll know it when I see it though. This is the great thing about asking for help on the internet. You get all sorts of ideas from all over, and the world is so much smaller now.

Jaco's right as usual.  A google search of "heavyweight zip wool sweater" revealed this link:

                http://montanawoolenshop.com/PFilsonSweaters.html

I think the #717 could be what ur looking for.

But they're sold out so here's another link: its only an XL though, and they don't have these on the filson website.

                http://hiltonstentcity.com/library/filson-717-full-zip-sweater.htm

And another: they also have the outfitter jacket on another page, made out of heavyweight wool too

Sorry for the nub question, but has anyone heard of Goro Takahashi.  I stumbled onto some of his work on ebay, I was just wondering if there other artist's like him? Any further information on his work?  Its crazy overpriced, is it worth it?  Is there a thread somewhere on his work?

Yeh, Goro's is kind of a Tokyo (Harajuku) institution. To buy from their store you have to kind of wait out side, and be allowed in one at a time to view what he happens to have on sale on any particular day, I've read a lot of people saying that buying from Goro is as much part of the experience as having the actual goods.

I can't speak for the quality of what he sells (although I am sure it is excellent), but I know that he, and his jewellery are very well thought of by many.
