Care For Your (Denim/ Wool/ Cotton)

They are 461, not selvage. i have worn them about a week. Most other jeans I have would have stretched by now but given that these are "tougher" I should be a little more patient I suppose.

So would a soak help or hurt the process?

Don't soak. That will only make them tighter. Just wear them. They'll take 2-3 weeks to stretch… Depending on how hard you wear them... Perhaps don't wear a belt with 'm...

I figured the belt might hinder them so I haven't been wearing one. When I do, I wear it loose.

My wife is the villian today. She washed AND dried my IH-634S's in the dryer. Now they have spotty lines and creases in them. Anyone know if the fading will even out over time or am I screwed?

Go now, everyone, and get a sharpie and write DO NOT WASH on the inside on both pockets of all IH bottoms.

It hasn't ruined the feel, just the look. Down the leg it looks like my jeans have varicose veins!

do you have pics? I suppose she didn't turn them inside-out? I think you'll be fine over a looooong period of time. Just embrace it as a remembrance of your beloved girl - makes it easier, no?

Not worried about the backside, I'm sure that will fade easily with normal everyday activities, the front may take a little more work. Oh well, guess I need to start doing my own laundry haha!

just remember to turn them inside out before puttin' them in the laundry. Just blame yourself not doin' it.  (well, wifes are supposed to know ALL jeans are to be washed inside out)

I just told her not to wash them EVER. Hopefully they will sort themselves out, otherwise IH will be making another $400.
