Just got back from Bangkok on Monday. Finally got some time to do some update on this thread.
Weather is perfect in Bangkok when I was there. A little warm, but no flooding at all..
Went to try the thai style bbq/steamboat in MBK. Recommended by my cousin. Not bad but not fantastic imo.
Those going to Bkk soon might want to try this. BMK Level 6. Quite big restaurant, not difficult to find. http://www.barbqplaza.com/home.html

Then we head to Chatuchuk market for some shopping. Not many photos as it's quite a bit of pain in the ass to take out my camera in that place.
Many kids there at this age are used by 'mafias' to beg for money. Some of their faces were even defaced for sympathy. Pretty sad issue happening in Thailand.But anyway, the leather shop that I've been talking about.
It's called Daeng Smith by Dang. And is located in Section 20 Soi 3 Room No. 266-267. It's opposite toilet no.5
Lots of belts, wallets, pouches, reins and other accessories.
Stitching is pretty bad ass on their wallet.I got a few vintage tees, and shirt in chatuchak too. Mostly in Section 4, 5, and 6. You guys should check out ByMyself too.
The guy at ByMyself is really friendly. My friend bought a bracelet and got a namecard from him. After we left Chatuchak, the 4 of us all decided we wanted one. My friend called him, and he made 3 more and delivered to our hotel. Pretty awesome service here.
ByMyself is in Section 4, Soi 52. Not difficult to find.
Good food are also everywhere in Chatuchak.

I highly recommend people who are going to BKK to visit this food outlet call SOMTAM in Siam Square Soi 5. Rama 1 Road. Patumwan. If you are at the right place, shouldnt be a problem to see the shop. The sign is pretty big, and most of the time, there are people queueing for seats.

Tom yum. So so only, but still not bad. Damn spicy.
So dont-know-what noodles. Very nice too!
Our dinner..Other places worth a visit are Take5 (Siam Square Soi 2, Lido Center Level 2), and Pronto at Siam Square Soi 2. The Pronto there stocks better brands like Flathead, Momotaro, PBJ, Red Wings, Kawatako and etc…
Take 5 stocks lots of stuff, but imo, the prices are kind of steep.As for massage, they are everywhere. But I went to this that is very good, and is always packed with people from all over the world.

No. Haraki and crew did not go last year, so i suspect they will not be going this year, though I do not know for sure. Trouble for me is that the dates for Inazuma are close (but not close enough for me to make it into one trip) to when I have to be in Tokyo for other stuff….
