Thanks @Giles
I think music, like all art, is subjective. It is a fool's errand to attempt to say what is good or bad. Whatever you enjoy is cool.
PS For what it's worth I think The Unforgettable Fire is a masterpiece

This is a Reddit link that might be a little bit better than the Youtube version. Obviously you need to be on Reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/phish/comments/1j62gnx/trey_peter_frampton_grace_bowers_play_while_my/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I never liked REM when I was in middle school or high school. I still don’t like their post Green output. Similar trajectory as U2 imo. I didn’t start listening to them until last year actually.
My point is now I get to listen to 6 classic proper college rock albums like it’s new music and I’m loving it.

@Matt REM “Fables of the Reconstruction” and U2 “The Unforgettable Fire” were huge for me when I was just starting to develop my own tastes and likes as a teenager. Fables was probably one of the first albums I bought when I moved to Dallas from Missouri in 1985. I think they still hold up

@Steve A funktastik recommendation! A proper blaster to start the day with! When checking out her album on Apple Music I've also now discovered their Music From The Big Cigar playlist which was also an awesome series on Apple TV - a double win! Cheers!
