CRISTINA SPIRIDAKIS, COSTUME DESIGNER FROM THE BEAR
We caught up with Cristina Spiridakis in Athens, Greece. Cristina is the costume designer who purchased white t-shirts from Self Edge 3 years ago and put Carmy (aka, Jeremy Allen White) from The Bear in them for the pilot episode, three seasons in and Carmy is still wearing the same t-shirts in every episode. Not just any plain white t-shirt, one that created such an internet frenzy that we believe it changed the public perception of a white t-shirt for the first time since Marlon Brando wore one in A Streetcar Named Desire in 1951. Cristina’s t-shirt choice created years of endless “What t-shirt is Carmy wearing in The Bear?” news articles, hundreds of memes, online searches for the tee across reddit/forums/discords, a wild sales boom for nearly all high-end blank white t-shirts, endless brands cashed in by using Carmy’s image to sell white tees, and lastly, a newfound mainstream respect for a blank white t-shirt. The humble white t-shirt thanks you Cristina.
For those who were unaware of all this until now.. Carmy from The Bear wears a Merz B. Schwanen 215 loopwheeled t-shirt and a Whitesville Japanese t-shirt from their 2-pack series. Other characters in The Bear may or may not be seen wearing Strike Gold t-shirts.

@kiya Saw an interview with Jeremy Allan White where he was asked about the t-shirt that he wears,and while he didn’t mention any brand names he did say that all his shirts had been tailored to fit him.
Yup, they were all hemmed between 1cm and 3cm in length and one of the tees the sleeves were tightened very slightly.

THE FLAT HEAD SUMMER COLLECTION
A major Flat Head delivery just hit our stores this week.

We’ve been working with Mexico City’s Hermanos Koumori crew for five years and thought it was time for us to come together to bring you a co-branded collection of t-shirts, shorts, hats, and stickers. This collection was produced with original in-house designed patterns and cut, sewn, printed, and garment dyed in a workshop in Mexico City.

INTRODUCING WERKSTATT MÜNCHEN - STERLING SILVER WITH LIFE
Werkstatt München, now at Self Edge! We’re happy to announce we’ve started working with Germany’s Werkstatt München to bring you a collection of hand-made sterling silver jewelry. This is a line we’ve been quite familiar with for twenty years and are excited to finally bring them into our stores. The collection is produced in Werkstatt’s own studio in Munich Germany out of .925 sterling silver, complete with in-house designed and produced clasps and hand-stamped (not cast) hallmarks.
The first collection consists of two unique rings, three bracelets, and two necklace chains.

THE FINE CREEK SHINKI HORSEHIDE MARIANA JACKET
The Mariana jacket from Fine Creek is back. This model is made of a Shinki Tannery vegetable tanned tea-core dyed 1.5mm horsehide custom made to Fine Creek’s specifications and is 100% cotton gabardine lined, perfect for year-round wear.
Fine Creek makes some of the most beautiful horsehide jackets we've seen. These are made using a vegetable tanned Japanese horsehide from Japan's famed Shinki Tannery, which ages in a fairly fast manner, and dyed using a "tea core" style method. The quality of stitching is as good as it gets for a leather jacket, and we've not seen many jackets age as well as these do. Depending on the panel they'll use a different type of stitch thread and thread count to achieve puckering in certain areas for added character. You can find these jackets now in limited numbers at all stores.
