Buy a bowler hat, an umbrella, and a fancy teacup to walk around with as soon as you’re out of the airport. At all times you need to be wearing the hat with the umbrella under your arm pretending to drink from the cup with your pinky extended. To truly fit in to the point where they won’t be able to tell you from any other local is to wear a monocle.
They laughed at me relentlessly the entire time I was there. Just trying to help…

@denim-dawg …if only I could have another chance to do it right. Now I know how to dress and a bit of the vernacular so I don’t sound so out of place.
The fact that every sentence needs at least one “blimey”, “spot of tea”, or “cheerio” would have made my life so much easier when I was there.
