I can’t imagine this will catch on in any significant way, at least for a several years. Zippers that require a whole new setup for installation? I can’t imagine the factories are all going to be supplied with these. And how would the huge retailers who contract with hundreds of places scattered across the world be consistently able to get the new hardware and assure all their outlets have the machines?
It’s just another step towards the evil fast-fashion mentality against repair. That’s how I see it anyways. How can they assure we have to replace garments instead of repairing them? Make a whole new closure that relies on tech that people don’t have access to.

Today, I did an online speed awareness course. Once every 3 years, if you have not exceeded a speed limit (and been caught) by too much, you can avoid a fine and points being added to you licence, by doing the course.
I only got called out once for not being woke enough.
We had to watch a vid of a town traffic system and road signs. We were asked to comment on what was significant about the video, I said (accurately, I may add), that the commentator was Welsh.....
Apparently that was not inclusive enough.

Went to work Christmas party, had a right laugh.
They all decided go to a club afterwards in town so, I join them, I haven’t been to the club for over 14 years.
Felt like a granddad in there with the music vibe has changed was hearing more bass than anything.
New generation all on their phones singing song recording it uploading for social media.That will be my last time. Unless it plays my kind music real Hip Hop.
Not bloody grime music i can’t stand it.
