I have better things to do, than worry about what people who know the square root of fuck all about business, think about how Haraki and I choose to run our business.

I won't be queuing up to do another interview…...

No, I meant the initial one. (I only stumbled across the forum the other day.)
      I found it, anyway.

Meek, mild and dishonest with a special place in Hell.

I know what you meant.  What I meant was if they emailed me and asked me for a follow up interview, the answer would be short, succinct, to the point and probably very rude….

          @Shoreman:

Do the guys who who dump all over IHUK on "Selvedge and Style forum" still post here? I'm curious, because they make reference to a lot of the information posted in these pages…

I am not sure why you are starting up a problem that doesn't exist.
To answer your question there are many of our forum, I am the admin, that do lurk and post on the Iron Heart forum.
Do the couple members who don't see the value in Iron Heart's wares post here? I doubt it.

They want to have a cluster fuck, that's fine by me.  What is not fine (by me), is that I went out of my way to explain Iron Heart and the way we work in an open, transparent and honest manner on their forum and I may as well have chewed my own testicles off, for all the good it seems to have done…..

They want me to do another interview?  I'm sharpening up some very pox ridden stakes.....

In my paradigm, the last thing you do is shit on a person who has done you a favour.  It's simply good manners....

I believe you have taken @Shoreman statement at face value.
Some members love Iron Heart, some like them, and some don't like them. Nothing more.
To even say "members who dump all over IHUK" is hyperbole.

I would say most members on our forum who were not into Iron Heart have now wanted to check them out because of all the great reviews from other members. We have many who did not like the Iron Heart concept at all. There are simply many people who don't spend that kind of money on clothes.
That is until they purchased an IH garment and then began raving. Some could even be called fanboys. 😉
Many are now loving Iron Heart that didn't and talking about them turning more members onto iron Heart.
            It is win win.

I don't read every post and of course there are a few who don't see the value as I mentioned and state their opinions. We don't moderate them unless they somehow get out of hand. It is their opinion.
It is not fair to take the opinions of a few members without considering the rest of the forum when passing judgement.

We are not a brand specific forum. We discuss many brands with varying opinions from members.
All you have to do is read the forum to see there is really only one brand that is really discussed with much dismay. The reason being they haven't delivered the goods. Literally.

I would never want our forum to be looked at on a whole as hating on any brand unless it really deserved it.

I say all this as I am wearing my IHXB01XRAW jeans.
            Peace!

I'd love to read that, if it hasn't been deleted already.

I hope that you do more reading on the forum as I think you would feel better about it. We think it is a great place. If you have another view on a discussion join in as it sounds like you didn't agree with something you read.
Here is the interview with Giles.

Giles wouldn't have reacted as swiftly as he did had this not been either brought to his attention or seen with his own eyes before.

Just like to add here, being a member of SS forum, that I deplore any comment that attempts to besmirch Giles - at SS or elsewhere. I have not seen such comments at SS but I'm genuinely bummed to see Giles upset. SS forum has many members who LOVE IH, some who seem neutral & a few who're mildly critical. I really hope that folks continue to show respect & recognition for the truly outstanding efforts & accomplishments of Giles and Iron Heart.

Giles gave a magnificent interview at SS earlier this year. True to form, he was transparent, extremely generous and incredibly informative.

Finally, it's festive season so let's mend the bridges, have some libations, laughs & good will. Giles & IH are truly ace & more power, much more, to Giles & Iron Heart!

Spent some time lurking.  My assessment after looking through a number of IH and other brands threads…..  There seems to be a lot more complaining about pricing than I see on other forums.  IH is one of the more popular brands to talk about on the forum (3rd highest in brand specific posts) so price complaining seems to be a bit more prevalent considering the other very popular brands are Gustin, Lawless, and Taylor Stitch.

I've never understood why someone would take even a moment to make a post complaining about the price of something.  Especially when you know very little, if anything, about the actual business and production costs.  At the end of the day it just has zero benefit to the thread.

Not to mention one of the most frequent posters hates IH (his signature is 'Forever IH Free').  Also don't understand how someone prides themselves on having an identity that is against a single brand.

                        Simple, personal beef !

The other brands popularised over much of the forum are domestic, use stock or roll end denim and have little to no retailer network (certainly not comparable to IH).

I also did some lurking and think the forum vibe is actually pretty cool, a lot of the guys on there are obviously newer to the denim scene and understandably have questions, which is great. I might actually sign up and read a little deeper over there as it seems like an interesting developing community.

Made in England, clothed in Japan, fed in America and drunk in Belgium !

I will not let this turn into an internet cage match between forums.  If people cannot discuss the topic respectfully, I will delete posts.  Again.

damn I missed the deleted posts  😠

rhetorical question, well more like a wish that I couldn't figure out where to place on the interwebs

Iron Heart pattern & quality of a pair of 555 or maybe 777 (haven't tried em yet  :-[), with the wild denim of say oni or pbj would be perfect for me.

I've had more pairs of Iron Heart jeans then I care to admit & the build quality & cuts 9 times out of 10 are very well suited for me.  The denims I see coming out of other brands are sometimes incredible, but when I put them on I'm almost always disappointed in the way the denim is constructed into a pair of jeans 😞 😞

I've high hopes for the 777 in that new lighter weight denim & the push into "other" denims in general sbg, that grey . . . .

( @Giles  will they be the same as the V1 measurements?).

No,  V1 was a mistake and turned out too similar to the 555, that is why we changed the pattern….

@Giles - Within one year, what can we realistically expect the 777 cut to be released in? If that's even possible to answer.. Thinking mostly about the 18oz (Indigo and Double Indigo) as well as the DD.
