    @dylantbmayes:

    You'd cut at 33", @adam313.

Well it depends on your seam depth.  We cut one inch longer than the desired end result for jeans on our Union Specials, if we are doing a chino type hem on the walking foot, then we cut to 2.5 inches longer.

      Hopefully I assumed correct…

Chino hem on jeans :-\ not cool.

Sorry, I thought the question was hemming generic, not jeans specific….My bad...

          That's my bad.  Sorry.

Thank you for the thorough answer, @dylantbmayes & @Giles, I should've clarified my question, but had no idea of the right way to phrase it.

I have a pair of jeans that have not been hemmed and are full length at 36". I wanted to cuff the jeans so that I can wear them now in the short term, but I didn't want to cuff them so much that when I finally got around to having them hemmed, the abrasion marks would be too "high" up the inseam to retain my desired length hem (32")…

It sounded like a long winded question in my head, so I just asked the vague version.

Thank you for providing such accurate detail.  I got the perfect answer. Thank you both. Love the forum knowledge!  😃

Need some advice for a new wireless router. My sky one isn't up to the task. I have a camera in the baby's room which we watch through iPads / iPhones and at the moment it is just keeps losing connection.

I just installed a Netgear AC1750 for my mother in law and the range is amazing.

Hello everyone and thanks in advance for your replies. I live in south florida and have had the 634s for about 2 years and love them. However I would like another pair in a slimmer fit and another type of denim.  So how much does the 18oz denim breath?  The 21oz is fine in hot weather IMO, so I am curious if the tighter weave of the 18 would be to hot for where I live.  I may end up with another 21oz in another fit but it would be nice to try something new.

The 18 oz is a very tight weave and doesn't breathe nearly as well. Have you considered the 633?

Or get a pair of the TW-666S in the sale or wait until the IH-666S get here….

                      anybody into Canada Goose?

looking for a different kinda winter jacket and thought about the brand.

                      thinking about these two models:

                      Chateau Parka

                      Langford Parka

any other ideas/models to think about?

thanks a ton for your help and input in advance.

                      cheers guys!

Giles I cannot find the TW-666s on the website, only the 666n. Also, when you say wait for the IH 666s are you referring to the 18oz?  If so you have my size. Finally which model is the 633 that was also recommended?  Can't find that one either.
                        Thanks

633 is only available via Self Edge, not IHUK, I believe.

Thanks guys.  The 666n is not available in my size (35 - 36) and the 633 has to small a hem, plus I'd rather buy iron heart from here all things being equal. I will likely end up with the 21 oz Beatle busters, the sizing is spot on for me.  Very nice of you guys to take your time to try and help me out.

@spitfiredealer the Google OnHub looks like an interesting option. It's managed through an app, and will automatically download security updates.

The only concern would be that being Google, it'll probably slurp up every bit of data that it can. :o

When I had to make a decision between this 5 versions - I would take the 'Chateau Parka' in blue … on the other side are all this Jackets / Parkas not my cup of tea  😉  .. and I'm very happy with my Deck Jacket and the M65 for the feckin' winter months.

^ … but I live in Franconia (= moderate winter weather)

If I would live in the Swiss Alps, I would buy them all + the IHJ-39 and the IHM-11    😉

thanks a ton for getting back @Finkster even though it wasn't that much of help hahaha 😉 …so i tried the chateau parka in olive yesterday and XL should be just fine. still gonna wait and see if others have any opinions or even similar jackets they can name before i'll cop one...

unfortunately both, the J39 and M11 are sold out, so i have to look for something else instead.

@Finn666 I never liked the buttons on the Chateau and I found it to be quite slim, almost feminine. I can see how the velcro closures on the Langford would be annoying, though.

Personally, I prefer the Branta/Black Line. I have an earlier iteration of this jacket (http://uncleotis.com/shop/designer/windemere-parka-black) and it's been excellent for the past two Montreal winters. (Not to mention, you don't have to fear being splattered with red paint by angry animal rights activists every time you're walking around the city.)

Meek, mild and dishonest with a special place in Hell.
