Wow @neph93, that's quite a project and the porch does look amazing! Not bad for being a teacher….
Teacher or not, when I moved here eighteen years ago I realised that if you don’t learn some carpentry/building/maintenance skills it will,
a. Cost you a fortune in builders fees
b. Cause your “Man Card” to be revoked. Without that they only let you buy watered down beer and no spirits [emoji2]Also when you have a house full of kids it’s what passes as peace and quiet while having the added bonus of keeping the wife happy.

Sticking to the OD’s and wabash for the summer rotation. It’ll look like I haven’t changed in a few months…actually that’ll be 100% true.

I had purchased a smaller Dewalt SDS and the big Bosch made all the difference in the world. That thing is an absolute beast and made the job much more tolerable. I ended up breaking up and hauling off over 8 tons of concrete in the span of a week.
I’ve had this same experience. I had a chipping hammer that just wasn’t getting the job done. I drove to the supply house and bought that same hammer drill and voila… work got done. That thing is a beast.
