Teacher or not, when I moved here eighteen years ago I realised  that if you don’t learn some carpentry/building/maintenance skills it will,
a. Cost you a fortune in builders fees
b. Cause your “Man Card” to be revoked. Without that they only let you buy watered down beer and no spirits [emoji2]

Also when you have a house full of kids it’s what passes as peace and quiet while having the added bonus of keeping the wife happy.
