@mmerkle I have some Red Wing Beckmans that I had resoled with a wedge, and it's made them MUCH more comfortable in terms of standing for long portions of the day. They certainly don't look as nice/formal as they did with the stock soles, but the comfort gained has been well worth it.

Thanks for the encouragement! I’m bracing for the estimate as they’ll probably have to add to the midsole to give them something to stitch to around the heel…

I decided to just go with replacement heels for the moment. Whites was going to be too expensive (mostly cause they wind up to take on more than I actually want done at the moment) IMO. Also, wanted to check out a new cobbler. Given the results, I’m happy to bring them all my shoes in the future! When this wears out I’ll maybe try a wedge ;).

@SKT thanks dude! They started to show character pretty quickly, but they’ve really bumped it up a lot more lately. I guess I’ve had em for almost two years now? I’ll take some better shots em soon. Glamour pics of thrashed boots haha…
