ughh…. that 101j is going to be impossible to pass up... Looks like Ill be grabbing this as well as the type III LHT so long as the measurements are cooperative.

I'm definitely tempted. I spent my high school years in Storm Riders and still have a 50L if anyone is interested - yours for the shipping.

The first thing I would do is start with Google Forms https://support.google.com/drive/answer/87809?hl=en its a simple way of setting up easy surveys on the product page to first get an indication of the interest in that sample product. A lot of waste will be saved here alone. First you need to know if the product is wanted or not, once you learn how many people have come to the page, and how many people have clicked yes or no, you can see the interest there for a start. Then if you have a high hit rate to that page and a high hit rate to the survey and a high hit rate to YES I'd move to second tier of questions with a form which may have features. For example Lee 101j lined, unlined or both. Again you check the number of people who have hit the page (interest), then hit the survey (more interest), then filed out the survey (serious interest), then clicked lined and from those numbers you can indicate the interest and the core amount of buyers and what they want. Sure you can't guarantee they will buy, although I would incetivise them with a much lower rate on the product if they put money down now and save X % on it before it goes into production, however you will know for certain what people want and how badly they want it by adding these forms to all sample pages. Hope this helps.
- This is not a democracy. This is mine and Haraki's investment, we will do what we want with some input from you guys. We like hearing what you want, but at the end of the day, it is Haraki's DNA coursing through the product that has made Iron heart a success.
- Survey are useless, I have tried it loads of times before, in may different guises. The ONLY way to get sensible commitment is to take full payment from the person. And as we do not know what size something is until it arrives, that is not possible.
- If we could sell it cheaper we would sell it cheaper to everyone.

I'm not suggesting it is a democracy, the stats would be private, for your eyes only. I'm merely suggesting a way for YOU to unearth initial interest, not us. You have released quite a few items over the years that haven't sold, other stock you have run out of fast, I'm merely suggesting a way for you to know before you stumble into a production run of something no one wants or a lot want immediately that would give you a pretty good idea of the interest. I'm just trying to be helpful. But you find surveys useless. So nevermind.
-
I'm pretty happy with the status quo. We get input and we get previews. That's special.
You win some, you lose some. There are items I yearn for, and I'll never have them. That's OK.
C'est la vie.

I suggested it a few times before - I think it would be great, if more shirts / Flannels would be made as a regular item or rerun from time to time. (Thinking Sh 31, 20 grey, 19 hint hint) It would probably even save development costs for sizing tables and fabric specifics.

I do, Eli, believe me.

… That it hasn't been in my hands yet, generally speaking.

maybe the guys that wanna do deposits could just start sending g 200 every pay check. then g and p can decide what to do with the cash
Paula and I talked about this. We are not a bank. People who have money lodged, feel they should get first dibs. What happens when they have a fiscal crisis and want to pull all their money. Honestly this is major overhead.

I meant input into the design process. Anything designed by a committee is shite.
Unless there is fiscal commitment surveys are completely useless. Everyone says "yes" just in case.
Stumbling into production and seeing what happens is part of the joy. (It is said that for a fly fisherman, the definition of hell is going to heaven and catching a 5lb Brown Trout every single cast - predicability is dull)
