What IH piece should I buy next?
-
Y'all I went down the wormhole hard over the last year.
I'm OK with this as I had a goal to dress more "age appropriate" (46) and simplify my wardrobe (I'm an efficiency nerd).
I pretty much just wear IH jeans and a white t-shirt every day. However, I may put a sweater, polo, sports coat, button up etc. over it depending on the occasion.
I'm looking at a 12oz Selvedge Denim Work Shirt With Snaps - Indigo IHSH-326-IND because I love my 12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt With Tonal Stitching - Indigo IHSH-33-T so much I want another similar shirt to rotate with.
Or the 666 or 777 in duck fabric as that would work well for office outfits and outside of work.
Thoughts for fun welcome....
Right now I have:
12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt With Tonal Stitching - Indigo IHSH-33-T - I love this top. I was born in Texas but live up north now. I love the western style but like how the tonal stitching mutes it a bit so it's not so flamboyant.
14oz Selvedge Denim Slim Cut Jeans - Indigo Overdyed Black IH-555S-142OD - These replaced my sweatpants and I manly wear them around the house, camping, hiking, skiing, etc. I like the high waist for comfort, but I don't tend to wear them "dressing up" and the butt gets pretty saggy with the high waist.
21oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo IH-666S-21 - Probably my favorite pair and best all-around if I had to pick. The only downside is the wider hem is not great for tennis shoes or low top shoes (which I hardly wear).
21oz Selvedge Denim Slim Tapered Cut Jeans - Indigo IH-777S-21 - These are of course similar to the above. The lower waist can be less comfortable. The tapered hem is not very aggressive and after I wear them a bit I wonder if these are my favorite lol (over the 666).
16oz Slubby Selvedge Denim Type III Jacket - Indigo Overdyed Black IH-526J-SLBod - Good standard jeans jacket. I live up north so this can work most of the year. I don't like how black the OD is out of the gate but this looked darker blue maybe due to the slubby texture.

Brother, it sounds like you need a CPO or untucked. Once you get one, you won’t regret it. Shirts with pockets are IT.

Can't go wrong with an IH chambray. Both the 13 and 21 are dropping on Tuesday.

@worn2fade Is the CPO warmer than the denim? I'm up north so that's not an issue....but I also like the breathability of the denim as it could be worn for more of the year.
Is it just a heavier denim?
I keep seeing people loving the CPO.

@TwoHearted313 Think of a CPO as a shirt just with pockets. The breathability is dependent on the denim/fabric that the CPO is made with. If they made a 12oz denim CPO it’ll be the same as your western 33, just with pockets.
Mine for example is an 18oz vintage denim. It’s significantly heavier than the 12oz 33, but it’s much easier to wear here in Florida than a type iii jacket for example.
Like I mentioned, the breathability is just dependent on what it’s made from. There’s a CPO dropping in the S/S26 collection that’s supposed to be breathable. Check that one out, it’s not denim though. Still looks fantastic.

@worn2fade
Back this 100 percent. Love my 2 CPOs and my untucked. Very clutch to have pockets IMO -
If God forbid I just had to have one pair of jeans it would be the 21 oz 666

Oops, I guess I’d really didn’t answer the question, above All I would do a CPO if I had just one piece that I wanted to buy. Even though I have had the 178 for years, I’ve been bitten by the CPO bug over the last couple years. Dare I say it’s just like a better western shirt

Was about to say the same! Gotta have a UHF
