On Saturday, my wife managed to catch a whitefish(Salmon family one) near our country house. With a fly! Not an easy feat. This fish has a very small mouth. She had a nice game of hide and seek. 900gr. Not bad. An hour earlier, a huge thunderstorm. An hour later, full sun, 25 degrees Celsius, not a breath of wind. Vulgata love parade everywhere.
Exceptionally, no catch and release this time.
After cleaning, it went straight into the freezer for future curing. Gravlaks. Delicatessen! -
Ordered a new Tenryu Rayz Spectra in preparation for the Coho run in September, been fishing the very small summer coho run here almost every day with only three hook ups and no fish actually brought in, those guys drive me crazy can see them through the water just swim out of the way of anything that goes near them.
