No others, but I did not look too hard…..
"Popped out this morning for a quickie after Zoom call with H...."
Zoom calls with H can only be a good thing im hoping

Yeah G! I’m so glad you found your lure. And then slayed a pig with it.

took my father in law out last night. We tried fishing for walleye with night crawlers for a bit, but the damn Crappies kept robbing us.
so we decided to troll for Northern and we hooked this 34" 10lb beast.
Jim is about 375-400 lb for reference.
This fish was an absolute hog.
It was almost a fish tale, and my rubber net was a little small to land him, and once we got him out of the water, he thrashed like crazy, spitting the lure and flying out of the net, only to land in the splash well.
we caught about 6 others up to 26".

A beaut (and I don't mean Jim
:-X)…..
My tale from this morning is that when I was trying to unhook the bass, it thrashed and I ended up with the other treble through my thumb - in, out and past the barb....
So I was attached to a pissed off fish by a treble hook.....
Surgery on site (a pair of pliers and gritted teeth to push the hook back through, whence it came).
Just bought a pair of these for my fishing bag.....

@Giles theres a trick i learned watching youtube video's while i had a hook "barb deep" in my thumb from a thrashing Silver Bass.
You string a firm line through the hook, press the hook so you are separating the barb from your skin, and then pull really fast to pop it out. I didn't believe it at first, but it worked on me.

Thats pretty intense .

it's like morning meditation for you i bet @Giles. I live within a couple blocks of the Minnesota river, but i never go down and cast. Maybe that should change

That herringbone cap looks awesome @neph93 .

Nice Reuben!

I’ve always loved fishing for the beautiful places it exposes me to. But, Neph…That’s amazing scenery.

Few more shots, first from the fjord, then from the mountain. The mountain river we fished is just behind the peak on the left of the first shot. It is about 20 minutes drive away from the village you can make out, under said mountain, at the end of the fjord.

One of my absolute favourite things. I was doubtful about paying over $100 for a cap, but this was totally worth it.
