Coming home from Japan. Exhausted but very happy. Straight into the IHSW-73 hoodie I was lucky to grab. Was this a Japan only release? I love it!

And a cappuccino at 9pm to keep me awake. Found the mug on the streets of Uji near Kyoto, there was a clear out where you could take things for a small donation. If only my luggage was not full with the other stuff…

Fresh knife, sharpened and assembled during a knife sharpening workshop I did in Kyoto. Well worth it, only 25k Yen (~140€) for workshop and custom knife combined.

Back home from an amazing Japan trip.

Perfect thing! And surprisingly large. Easily packs my Fuji XT-4 with lens + 2 extra lenses. Crazy! Also love the side compartments.

@Bridger 2 week Japan trip - Osaka, Kii-Katsuura, Kyoto, Tokyo was out route. Food, culture, deim and nature. Can’t imagine a better trip

I’m very happy I took the trip here. Not only because of the obvious IH, but because I truly had the feeling of „being in Japan“, seeing only locals on the bus and in the restaurant I went to.

This was different in Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo and even Kii-Katsuura, which is a bit more remote, but still has some tourism.

Katsudon and Soba, just as recommended by Toranori, one of the newest store employees.

I don’t have enough legs for my jeans. I also just have one head. But I have less hats than jeans. The logical consequence is I can wear more hats. So I picked one up at Hinoya. Makes sense?

Oh and when you get a hat, you also always should get a burger. The head will be much happier then.

A couple from the first days in Japan. I love everything about this trip. The people, the food, the trains, the nature, the photogenic streets. Kyoto pictures still to be sorted, next stop Tokio.

This thread is pure gold. So many exciting stories! This was a perfect evening read, lying on my hotel bed in Kyoto after another long day in this beautiful country Japan. Not sure if I would be here if Japanese Denim had not pushed me to explore this world.

A bit late to the party but nevertheless:

My grail IH piece, the mighty IHJ-54 aka „The Horse“. I always wanted to own a nice black leather jacket. When I discovered the thread on the forum, I have read it at least 10 times. As there were few posts I also went through the IHJ-35 thread for another 10 times or so. The more I looked, the more I knew this was the one.

Then the great news: IH 20th anny party in Gosport. I started saving up for this the moment I knew the party was happening. I knew if I put it on and liked it, I’d never put it off again. And that’s exactly what happened.

I will never forget it.

My grail non-IH piece: A pair of non Selvedge Evisu jeans found on a flee market in Munich. Worn by a band member on the music video set of my favorite local Hip Hop Crew, Blumentopf.
No selvedge, not the craziest fabric, paid 20€, but this is the jeans that started it all. I repainted the arcs, did my first Sashiko and will never ever let it go.

And, last but not least, my first ever IH piece, the IHSH-62-BLK Wabash. Bought on Kleinanzeigen in 2019. Debated for days if a shirt could be worth that money. It was and still is.

And, honorable mention, the first ever IH jeans I jumped into. My beloved IH-888S. My favorite pair that I still have in rotation after close to 500 wear days.
