@RubyRae Thanks mate, i've been a bit MIA this year. Taken some time off and got baby number 2 due any day now. Regardless, i have some great thoughts on this one. So will get something out! Just wish this heat would go, not worn anything but shorts and t-shirts for months.

Got mine today in the UK. No fees/customs yet, though it usually gets sent later. Bracing myself.

I must admit I'm loving this shirt. Fit for me is spot on. Took normal IH size (L) and its probably the best fitting IH shirt I have. Also love the lack of chainstitch runoff.

But for me it's the hue which surprised me, really light blue almost navy. It's nice and you can just tell it's going to age beautifully.

The fabric itself is giving me chore coat vibes. Happy with the purchase.

I grew up in Aus listening to them so hence my love of collecting the Aus Bleach versions and also anything Aus related.

I had their very first single, Love Buzz, number 88/1000 which had come from the bands original manager. Can't afford one now though

@ackoasis Just got it today and I took my normal size I would with my UHF which is a large. For me I'm not sure I could layer too much with it. But I think a size up would be too big for me especially in the arms. Sleeve openings are tightish.

Boy oh boy is this a jacket though. Absolutely stunning and fit is spot on!

If it helps, I could try it with my UHF underneath or a pullover and see how it goes

This shirt looks better in person than in pics! I sized up and sent mine to my tailor to shorten the sleeves, looking forward to getting it back as fall is setting in.

First impressions are good. It's only my second UHF and I'm amazed how softer it feels from the other I have (IHSH299-PUR). Saying that it is my second western. I think I'm smack bang in between a L and XL in Westerns as both this and my other western (Serge) ever so slightly cut into my armpits. For me though sizing up isn't an option as the sleeve lengths are a tad long for me already. It's a fine balance. But L is the one.

Overall though, this fabric feels incredible. I love worn in fabrics and that super soft feel of a very old heavy fabric and this looks and feels like one already if that makes sense. It's going to be my go-to in winter.

The longer sleeves in the past was a purposed design in regards to riding motorcycles and sleeves riding up as you ride.

Fortunately, the UHF sleeves have increased in length over the years.  The early ones, such as the IHSH-32 and the maroon buffalo check had uncomfortably short sleeves.  They were about 24 inches on a medium. Much shorter than the 26 inches on the modern UHF mediums.

Super interesting about the longer due to riding. I love features designed for a purpose. Reminds me of a couple flannels from another JP brand that have 24" sleeves in a sz42. Super short which i grew to absolutely love. They are both work shirts which I always assumed had shorter sleeves for well, ease of working? There's a sweet spot though and I'm still enjoying finding it

Probably for a general thread, though curious to know what denotes the sleeve length. Why such differences across UHF's. Is it a technical limitation with fabric or weave or more a preference when designed. I realise in this instance it may be to be true to the original but always wondered why so many differ.

on the OD process. How does this generally fade/look. Trying to get my head around the OD process and how it could potentially look in years to come.

Secondly, any pics floating around of the women's size being worn. Contemplating buying one for the lady. She always nicks mine in the winter now we WFH 

Will these be Overdyed as well? Or is that just for the 20th?
