Thank you all. I'm afraid this will be the first IH item ever I return (not even sure how to do this, since the outer plastic bag from UPS has not survived the unpacking). The jacket is a beauty, but I will not wear it enough if the fit is not 100% for me.

@Tago-Mago yeah.. I think actually with 4xl all would be more to my preferences.. except the shoulders would get too large...

@pechelman thanks..good points. I would like to have the option to wear it over a flannel or hoodie.. which works just about but open. Would wear it mainly open. Main issue is that I am absolutely sensitive to short sleeves, but then you have a point that this might be OK with a type3...
IH has no xxxxl in stock.. so sizing up not really an option.

So guys, I need a quick fit check. I have the indigo lefty in xxl .. and after the usual shrink it fits perfectly. The OD size table had all dimensions for xxxl match my xxl indigo, and a few mm more for p2p (very welcome). I had the team check p2p, but not all other dimensions. The xxxl I received now is a full 2cm shorter than the table indicates, and all other dimensions also slightly smaller. As you can see (sorry for the dirty mirror) it fits with t shirt only (which is ok) but I am worried about length and in particular sleeve length (will get creases and shorten a bit).

@tody I mainly liked the simple look of the one bag I bought, not sure about the backpacks etc. The material is really cool with a lot of texture, but the bags are otherwise very simple (e.g. there is no contouring in the lid, so in heavy rain any laptop etc is exposed from the gaps where the strap is attached). I actually bought a small purse from the (off) white material and like it quite bit.

Does anyone have a picture of a well worn in pair of these? Also: @ShopatIronHeart the size guide for these on the webpage seems to be dysfunctional. I wear 44 (us size 11) in Birkenstock Arizona (regular, not narrow), not sure if there is any guidance on sizing for these...

For the 634-14ib: did you go down a size compared to your usual tag? With stretch my usual 36 would get to 38" which is a bit too much. On the other hand: I like the oversized style you have going!

Don't I know it! I have, however, discovered that I already own 6 UHF, and also sizing is not working out... so easy to pass...

Thanks @FlavourFade and @CosmoSix5! In the meantime I have successfully talked myself into snapping up the last OD lefty xxxl on IH UK. I have the indigo version.. and if the OD is even only a bit softer I can live with that
Also reconsidered my use case and would likely not wear a Type III indoors at work all day anyway. Now I just need to resist the urge to buy the purple UHF later today..

Did see a dude wearing a bag from a German company making bags (and other stuff) from old firehoses. They are all different depending on the age and color and markings on the hoses.. but they have pictures online of each individual bag. Arrived today.. also ordered a small purse made from white/off-white firehose.

@CosmoSix5 it seems you have both the 14oz OD Type III and the lefty (OD). Any concluding words to help decide between them? Having the indigo lefty I have some level of "crunch PTSD" and ideally want a type III that I can wear indoors all day (in winter), as opposed to wear "as a jacket only"...

@neph93 agree. I have one of the plastic measuring things.. but then it depends on time of day, how exactly you use it, how wide the ring is etc.

Thanks! Still not large enough for the ring finger, but will just have to decide if I want to do this if it only fits the Pinky, and also if in that case go for size Japan size 22 or 24...
EDIT: @Ross: you would not happen to have a sizing chart that gives circumference and diameter of the US/JP sizes for this particular ring in mm? I just googled ring size charts, and every single one has different values for the same sizes (I assumed they were standardized). So if you google US size 11 ring, you get around 10 different values for the circumference in mm...

I have the GAH Model 25 in size 11.5, and a preferred circumference of just over 65mm to be able to wear this on the ring finger. The sizing here means that even the largest size 22 would at best fit my Pinky finger. I guess I have sausage fingers

I can confirm usefulness of Arizona for beach access with this live update shot from the shore of Largo Maggiore. For beach I use these camo ones in fake leather..
