@motojobobo similar situation here. I bought the FUJIFILM X100VI a year ago, and used it on one trip. I sold the camera soon after, since I could not get used to the limitations of having only the one lens and stuck to 23mm (or whatever it is). I came from a Canon setup (I sold before I bought the Fuji) with 5 or 6 lenses. Fans of cameras like this will tell you that it forces you to accept the limitation of having only one focal lenght, and be creative..
What I never fully got was how important the pre-set styles are for fans of this camera, simulating old film look and feel. I am now using Lightroom and can do all this with any of my pictures in post processing...
Anyways: happy new owner of a Sony a7Cii, body also only around 500gr, full frame, and combine it with a initial travel lens 20-200 (Sigma). Setup around 1kg. Only downside I found so far: too complex user menu and too many customisation options. Oh and: no Continious autofocus when in intervall shot or delayed timer mode for Iron Heart Selfies
All I am saying: think carefully about the limitations of not having a interchangable lens setup! -

Funny enough I am from the Rhein Main area originally, but living outside DE for more than 25 years. I visit occasionally but never when in FFM did I manage to visit B74 (some online purchases though...)

Nice one @GoodtimeJohnny My favourite way is to wear a heavy shirt on top, but open (or at least partially) so it is visible that these are bibs... also shorter shirts work fine, since there is zero risk for buttcrack exposure

I could not get used to wearing flannels etc underneath the bib... but perhaps will give it another try... -

New travel setup complete: very happy with the 7l Wotancraft Pilot Camera bag! I have an old Domke F2, but this thing is less boxy, wears more comfortable and has a genious magnetic one hand operation clasp. Also: with a bigger bag I am sure to fill it, which will make any 10l+ bag to heavy....

@Marc2706 the Sigma BF is really cool! I see now that I went to the opposite extreme with the Sony a7c ii: the complexity and depth of the user menu and the functionality is a bit over the top!

New camera day with the real intention to pick up this hobby that I have neglected for years now. Got a light and flexible travel set-up for upcoming trips. Holding back on starting to collect lenses again for now

Sony a7C ii with the Sigma 20-200.. the whole deal just at 1kg!

For the Friday fade+flannel: my oldest 888 in 14oz + the slightly pimped Brund special IHSH-BRUND-NAV. Most versatile of my flannels due to the lack of pattern..

@Jord said in Random Rants:
The price is the price in my eyes. Only time I'll "make an offer" when a seller literally has that option (eBay) and I only do this if I'm half arsed about wanting to purchase it, if they accept they fuck me dead I pay for it and if not... I don't continue to add £10 hoping they'll change their mind...
Too many tire kickers, if someone lists on a forum or marketplace that should be the price... It's somewhat insulting IMO to say "hey, I know you want X but I really don't think it's worth that..."
It would piss me off to no avail haggling back and forth in foreign countries, but I guess it's just their culture some places
I am crap at selling stuff, and end up either giving it away for free, or charging so low a price that people get suspicious. Bought a camera last year that was sold out everywhere, and where (new) used cameras were sold at several 100 Euro above the nominal price. I sold mine at the retail price, and the guy wanted to see all sort of documentation before he believed that the goods were not stolen or broken. Here in the Forum I see many people asking completely unrealistic prices for their IH, and usually have to go down in price significantly (or give up).
