Not exactly metal, but one of my favourite albums, and has been covered many many times by metal bands, so by some degree of separation, i still think this belongs here. Outsider, psych rock legend and tragic figure.

Received the Slowhand haori today. It's unfortunately not the same twill as the Alamo. But still a very nice fabric. Construction is absolutely impeccable. Just the drape is a bit odd. I can't tell if it's too small in the shoulders... Hard to explain really. If my shoulders are where they naturally want to be in the shirt, it pulls open at the bottom a bit. If I pull the shirt a bit down in the back so that my shoulders sit more "forward", it doesn't open in the front but it's standing a bit off from my neck. It's got something like a raglan sleeve so there's lots of place for the shoulder to move around..
I love the idea of this shirt, just not sure I love it on me. I have to see if it drapes differently after some wear. It's basically new even though I picked it up second hand

Ended up sleeping through the drop. Decided that I already bought three shirts since Redline Rally started that I have wait another 301 days before I can wear them. And adding a fourth to that pile would not do. Maybe next time. I'll put the money "saved" (rationalizing already
) towards a nice pair of boots I think -

@Pygmalion that shirt is dope. I used the search (mostly to appease Giles) and only found the IHSH-384-WHT and IHSH-168-WH. But that doesn't quite appear to be it? Yours seems to have a bit of contrast stitching. Care to enlighten me?
I have a very similar custom by SoSo in undyed cotton.

@Jord as dog owner, I agree completely. It's infuriating how inconsiderate some dog owners are..
Walking in the park in autumn you can play a round of a particularly fun game I like to call "where's the pile of shit hiding in between all those leaves".
The worst thing is that not picking up the poop is self-defeating.. I am convinced that dog owners are disproportionately likely to step into poop because their dogs are drawn to it

I've got a pair of heavy-ish sashiko sweat pants that I can only wear in winter. I would assume the shirt would be similar

I was gonna post this in the bad fit of today topic.. Blue / black / brown kinda sent me this morning, but it doesn't look to bad in the pic. I guess I am hung up on suiting rules more than I should be.

Scored a khaki twill Slowhand haori on vinted last night for a good price. Been wanting one for a while, but always found it a bit out of my comfort zone. But for a hundred European pesos I'm willing to take a punt. Supposedly nearly new too. I really hope it's the same twill fabric they use on their Alamo shirts, that has just the softest and most comfortable feel ever. I just can't abide by the boxy fit of the Alamo otherwise I would have added a few to the rotation already

First was a 666-21 I bought from the good folks at Burg und Schild in, I want to say, 2021. I've since sold them because they became much too big for me. Replaced them with a 777-21 in 2022 from Statement which I still rock as my main pair, even though they too are running quite large on me at this point.

First shirt must have been a Johnny Cash III, which I still have though is on the chopping block because that one, too, does not fit me anymore

I will tell you though, you NEED to wear it during the summer.
Hmm, how can I say this delicately..
I, uhm, sweat. profusely

Even in a temperate central european summer you'll find me wearing hardly more than shorts, a chambray shirt and birks..
Why it I enjoy heavy flannels and 21oz denim you're asking? Yea, I've no sensible explanation either

we'll get there

Dang, theres some stiff competition here. Great to see those wonderful pieces coming to life
Even though i've work my 33-T every day in February, its only slowly starting to show some progress. Probably because it was cold AF, I was mostly working from the home office and so I did not get up to much. The arm creases are rock solid though, and in a few weeks they will look spectacular
Still no wash, though I think the time is slowly approaching. It's also getting harder to stick with wearing it every day, and ignoring all the awesome flannels I have languishing in the wardrobe. But I know I will have to wear it much less in the summer heat, so I want to get as many days in as possible.
61 days if my count is right.
