      @Soleamp is on point friends. Thanks for the smooth transaction and fast shipping. Being neighbors helped that along lol.They are a little big! I think my nicks insoles will fill up the volume nicely. Are the jeans to tapered or is that a good look?

      Glad they worked out for you! Seeing your pics makes me regret selling them a little, even though they didn't really fit 😢

    • RE: IH-888S-UHR - 21/23oz Ultra Heavy Raw Selvedge Denim High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans

      @pechelman:

      Fwiw, don't discount the 666 uhr till you check out the measurements. These seem to be cut a little more generously in the top block and thigh than their 21oz counterparts for the same tag. Mine didn't shrink at much as I was expecting either and very quickly stretched back in the waist so they're very comfy.

      Interesting, I didn't even think to check out the 666 UHR after my experience with the 666 XHS.  The measurements actually look pretty generous.  I put in an order for 634 UHR, but I will chat with the IHUK crew tomorrow and see what they have in the 666.  Lots of those still in stock.

      @John:

      @Soleamp:

      Feel like I probably could have sized down.

      I had similar experience with the 555UHR.  Went with my normal tag size which had posted dimensions a little larger than my typical.  The tag size down had posted dimensions that were perfect without the shrinkage.  I went with the slightly larger dimensions thinking the shrinkage would pull it in, but after a few days of wear they are now stretched back out a little bigger than I prefer.  If I get another pair, I’m going to purchase as I normally do with the dimensions I want as if no shrinkage.  Then after soaking and washing, I’ll stuff myself in them like a sausage and wear them around the house till they stretch back out.  I should have known better since I had experienced the same thing about five years ago with the 3Sixteen Kibatas.  I’ve learned my lesson with raw - won’t happen again for me.  BTW - they don’t look bad (as mine don’t either) but I know it’s a matter of personal preference and how you like them to look and feel more so than what others may notice.

      This is where I am at as well.  If they are comfortable after a hot soak and hot wash, then (for me) they are probably too big.

      @yannis:

      I dont see anything wrong with the fit. They look relaxed in a nice way.

      Thanks, appreciate it, but I think @Kasi  hit the nail on the head.  I was in 888s a few years ago, but have been wearing 634s the last year.  I was in 666s for a minute when my weight was down a bit, but they are uncomfortably slim for me in the heavier weights.  I might pick up the 634 21/23 before they sell out and then make a final decision.  Thanks for the feedback, I'm hoping to be more present around here again now I have a bit more free time.

      Hey all, haven't been on here in a while.  I picked these up right when they came out.  I really struggled with the sizing and went back and forth between 33 and 34.  Went with 34s and did not get as much shrinkage as I thought I would.  Fit picks are after a one hour hot soak and a hot wash.  Feel like I probably could have sized down.

      @Joberwocky:

      While not something to enjoy year-round, a little Mad Elf when the weather gets cold is a staple for me

      I think it’s a requirement to have at least a few Mad Elfs every season in our area. Not my favorite beer, but I drink it every year.

    • RE: Our Cars (dream or actual)

      @sabergirl Thanks so much!  It's not too hard to do those types of trips these days as you can now rent vans/RVs all over the world.  It's a great experience and we have done many long road trips with our kids.  A few years ago we did over 6k miles (that was a lot of driving).

      @mclaincausey Man, that looks amazing.  Can you send me the recipe?  I do all of the cooking in my house and I am tired of a lot of my cold weather rotation.

    • RE: Let It Snow!!!! Winter Sports Thread

      @Aetas Sorry, I have been out of the loop for a bit, we need to get this thread going with the snow starting to fly!  BTW, that is a great collection of passes, you should make that into a wall display or something.

      Picked these up a few months ago but I have been procrastinating on mounting them (I do my own mounting, so it's just laziness).  Went with the 94s as a good compromise for the East/West combo skiing I do.  Hoping to get in at least 30 days this year.

    • RE: IH-666-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

      @the246guy:

      It's been now 3 months for me with my first ever 25 oZ denim and I guess I found the Holy Grail pants in this cut. I own few other pairs of raw denim and I feel like not picking them at all after wearing this XHS continuously for the last 3 months, every single day. I might post some pictures later on and I'm even considering getting another pair to rotate.

      I hear you.  I have been wearing mine for about the same amount of time and everything else feels weird and thin now.  It's like a denim security blanket, haha.  Although, I did just pick up the 18oz 634s which are pretty amazing (I couldn't squeeze into the 666 version of the 18oz).

    • RE: Our Cars (dream or actual)

      @motojobobo and @mclaincausey Thanks, much appreciated!  I'm actually selling it because I have three kids that are still in school and it's not really practical for a family.  I more did it just to see if I could.  I do love the vans though, I drive a Sprinter as my daily driver, haha.

      This would indeed make an awesome Colorado rig.  We are big skiers and this would be amazing to have when they are forecasting those big storms.  Camp out somewhere and wait for the powder!

      @mclaincausey:

      Look great @Soleamp and this is my favorite extant IH denim that I have experienced.

      Yeah, it is definitely an interesting denim.  I normally wear one pair for a while, but I think I am going to have to rotate these with my 666-XHS that I have been wearing.

      I picked this up as my first UHF.  It is really nice and the colors are great on this one.  After having one, this definitely won't be my last.  I haven't worn it yet as my wife told me this is my Christmas present from my kids… 😢

      I was very intrigued by these and picked them up in a 31 from IH…but they were too small (I was being ambitious).  Returned those, second guessed the purchase and then the 32 was out of stock.  Found a pair of 32s locally and they are a much better fit (at least I think so).  Reading the reviews of these being crunchy I was a little worried (I love the softness of my other IHs).  BUT...they are still much softer than most other similar weight/denim (I have 19oz Samurais that are way more crunchy than these). Looking forward to breaking these in.

    • RE: Our Cars (dream or actual)

      I haven't been on here for a bit because I have been finishing up a camper van conversion I have been working on.  I did this to see if it would be a feasible side business…but it was a lot of work and took me almost eight months (off and on).  It has a full AC/DC electrical system, running hot/cold water (with sink and outside shower), propane stove, propane hot water heater, propane heater (with ducted heat) and a composting toilet.  I did all the work myself from start to finish (with a hand from my teenage son) and it was a fun project...but I am glad it is done!
