It’s pretty much a “Pay to Play” kind of deal. These days it’s getting filled with tossers who have nothing to do with Rock and Roll anyway.

Congratulations. In my opinion, you made an excellent choice for your first IH purchase. Mine gets more wear than any other jacket in my wardrobe. It looks amazing. It’s a perfect weight. It fits and feels great and it compliments everything.

@SFMCfranky nice pillow (The Akita that is)

His name is Tofu and he’s 13 years old. Akitas can be extremely aggressive. But Tofu is a total sweetie. He’s been a frequent visitor and occasional resident here his whole life. Part of the pack. That coat of his is definitely luxurious. But man, does it shed.
As the saying goes, Akitas blow coat twice a year: once from July to December and then again from January to June.

@SFMCfranky beautiful machine!
@NickD i loved looking at my Streefighter V2 but hated feeling like I was toasting my crotch when temps >80F
Made the switch to BMW. While I miss the rowdiness of the Duc, that german precision is unexpectedly charming
Still holding out for a Duc that doesnt run hot in the city!
Yeah, not really designed for a stop and go situation. More like Go Go Go!
I still have a 2005 R1200GS that I bought new. It’s my long distance tourer. I had a 1988 K75S and a 94 R100GS. So I am well versed in BMWs. I wish I still had that R100GS.

@SFMCfranky love the 916. I had a V2 Panigale up until a few weeks back. A great bike, but a bit more than I could sensibly use on the road.
When I bought the 916 back in ‘95 I said “The supersport stall in my stable has been filled.” It’s still true.
Rubber side down, brother.

@SFMCfranky Wow, beautiful guitar. Santa Cruz makes incredible instruments. Love that figured mahogany neck. Is it a J-45 style spec wise?
I actually got a new Les Paul in last week. Will post some pictures later.
Hi there! I just saw this question. The dimensions are similar to a J-45. But with a shorter scale length - like original Southern Jumbos.
Even shorter than 24.75in? Every J-45 I've played/owned has been 24.75.
Enjoy it, it looks amazing and I bet it sounds and plays great!I’ve not played a Gibson j-45. Santa Cruz makes three slope shouldered dreds: the VJ, the VS and the RS. The VJ has a 25.375 scale length while the VS has a 24.75 scale length. I always assumed the VS was based on the Vintage Southern while the VJ was based on a standard j-45 and they had those respective scale lengths. Guess I was wrong. I went with the VS because of the shorter scale length. I actually liked the sound of the RS even better. It’s based on the Roy Smeck model. But it was too large for me to hold comfortably. So I went with the VS.
Cheers,
