Oh hell these measurements look real good.

RE: Bitch Please… FAKE Iron Heart?posted in News
The XHS on the label specifically refers to 25oz denim. Iron Heart has different labels and naming practices for each denim. The slub labels say SLB. The only way that patch would be on a pair would maybe be a sample? I also seem to recall the SLB has the lighter weight patches since it’s a 16 oz denim @Daysleepers

The rollout of this tech has also been downright rapey. The “you can’t resist and may as well submit” schtick is so tired. It has worked really well for the imperialist-colonialist-capitalist tech bros so far, though so I suppose they’re just doubling down.
I’m really worried about the rollout that’s happening in schools. If kids never develop thinking skills or critical thinking or cultivate relationships with other humans they’re going to be stunted in all the worst possible ways.

It’s a genuine patch, but the denim looks a little slubby and light for xhs.

I wake up in the morning and read Heather Cox Richardson’s blog on Substack. Then I usually glance at Facebook and instagram, realize they both suck, and head to the IH forum. I will usually search for IH on eBay, Grailed, depop, marrkt, poshmark and the real real, but don’t spend any other time on those sites. I used to check them daily, but my closet is now ludicrously stuffed with more things than I wear, which is problematic.

RE: IH-684S-16-GER - Iron Heart Germany 16oz Selvedge Denim Relaxed Straight Cut Jeans - Indigoposted in Bottoms
They look great on everyone. I wish that I could find a way to try a pair on. The fit seems not that different on paper and like to get the thigh as relaxed as I want I’d have to let the waist gape very wide. I’ve done this with 634 with some success, but I hope maybe a future iteration of 684 may have a smaller waist measurement in comparison while the rest of the cut stays the same.
100 people will want 100 different jeans, I know.

I sort of wish I could get both! I’m holding out for the appearance of the indigo untucked, though

I’m wearing it like a shirt. The only other denim shirt I’ve ever had from IH is a 141, which I think is 11oz? I sometimes wear that one over long sleeves as a shacket. I also rock it over a t shirt, as a shirt. Same with my untucked.
Honestly, I think you’re the only one who can answer this question. It’ll depend on how you size it, whether you layer, what the climate is where you live, etc.

The weave is pretty tight. Not super breathable. I’ve been glad that the spring weather was cooler the past couple of days so I could wear it all day. I expect that soon it’ll be too warm for that.

RE: "Why Can't Iron Heart Make More Stuff"posted in General Chat
Iron Heart’s success as a brand and the growth that you’ve seen in the international market are no surprise to those of us who know how good the jeans really are.
What’s surprising is how many idiots out there are dying to jump into the market and don’t take the time to even read a single thing for context. This forum, social media, on your own site, there’s been a tremendous amount of transparency from Iron Heart about your process and your production challenges. The willful ignorance of folks then demanding you somehow produce the product they want and the complete lack of understanding what the product even IS that they want would almost be funny if it weren’t so dumb.

735 has been cut slimmer in the thigh than the 816. I can’t wear the new ones. I should qualify that to say the ancient beige and navy ones I had were bigger. Looking at the charts for the black ones and whipcord ones the thigh is skinnier.

My 816DD that I inherited from Filthy Mike are one of the best pairs of pants I’ve ever had. The double-duck isn’t for the faint of heart, but the rewards are tangible and exciting.

AI is poised to be the death of all of us, one way or another. And what it does isn’t even that great. If you feel like a deep dive, Dario Amodei who is one of the founders of Anthropic has a blog where he outlines his biggest fears for the tech. Seems like only a matter of time until a bad actor uses it for a mass killing. The new agentic AI that acts autonomously is scary as fuck: https://darioamodei.com/essay/the-adolescence-of-technology?media_id=3851650953330117483_63409923771&media_author_id=63409923771&ranking_info_token=GCA5NTVhNjA0ZTM5MTQ0OTc1ODhjNjdiNzEzZTQzYjZkMyWGs2UVmK4HFqiin5sNGBMzODUxNjUwNzI3OTM2NjEyNTU4KANuY2cA&utm_source=ig_text_post_permalink
