@BorisB I think the indigo dyeing causes some shrink, so yes, you may need to size up.

RE: IHUK Staff Measurements…posted in Iron Heart Website Hints
Crew, don't know if you're aware, but on the main website the link to SamB's vitals in the product details is linking to SamD's measurements ie. 5'8 vs 6' etc. Might be leading to some customer confusion. Unless it's me who's got it muddled.

@Mizmazzle Regrets, I've had a lot, and that brown work jacket is one of the big ones. Good fit on you.

RE: Anyone here play video games?posted in Hobbies and Pastimes
@SKT Have you played any of the Souls games or Bloodborne? It's cut from the same cloth, but a big open world. Too big, I found - I preferred the more linear, contained earlier games and gave up half way through Elden Ring. It's widely loved though. If you've never played a From Software game prepare for quite challenging combat and limited hand-holding as regards both game mechanics and narrative. It's one I keep feeling I should go back to, but I don't think I'm up for the relentless hostility of that kind of game anymore!

RE: Motor Sportposted in Sport
Remember the Audi RS6 V10? Seems mad looking back, and it's long gone, as is M5 V10 and even Lamborghini's. I'd love that era of F1 to return, but surely the PR would be fatally out of step with the zeitgeist. More's the pity.
Ferrari's 12 Cillindri engine is the same format as it's Le Mans winner. There's definitely a trickle down of tech, albeit pretty diluted by the time it makes it to our daily drivers.

RE: IHM-39-BLK - Military Serge A2 Deck Jacket - Blackposted in Jackets
@will6er Yes, in the N1 category for sure. No guarantees it'll be back of course, it was a seasonal/limited release, but I'd hope with it selling fairly quick in the mainstream sizes that we'll get a re-run.

RE: IHM-39-BLK - Military Serge A2 Deck Jacket - Blackposted in Jackets
I've fallen hard for this jacket, hoping it'll be back for FW25. Gotta be black though, it's functional unpretentious style in the best IH way.

Can't see Giles heading to the tropics in 25oz denim.
Yeah he would.
A vile slight - I apologise.

Can't see Giles heading to the tropics in 25oz denim. An easy-wearing mid weight would be ideal for this cut imo.

RE: IH-634S-SB - 21oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut - Superblack Non-Fadeposted in Bottoms
Anyone else who has these get quite a bit of shrink? I've lost a full inch in the inseam, which I didn't get with the OG 21oz. Unless I'm eating donuts in my sleep I'm pretty sure they've tightened up in the top block too. Is this a typical result of the superblack dyeing process in the vests and jackets? Careful washing, never seen a dryer etc etc.
I'll get another pair when they restock as I can get away with wearing them for work (and they're metal
) but I'll size up and add some length to the hemming. -
RE: IH-816-GRY - Grey Whipcord Work Pantsposted in Bottoms
I just waxed lyrical about the workpant cut in another thread. Wear them for a bit and you'll never go back to a slim leg. I'd love for these to come back, a dark grey would be nice too.

RE: IH-829-IND - 21oz Serge Work Pants - Indigoposted in Bottoms
They soften up very fast. My second workpants after the wabash, and I think it's my favourite cut - a strong but kinda neutral workwear look that would suit any age or body type. Love the simply adorned, straight back pockets, the small fabric patch, and the almost-slash pockets at the front that are that bit easier to access. Quintessential IH I think, and all the better that it's pretty unique to Iron Heart. My only concern (not one most here will share, admittedly) is that they'll fade a bit too aggressively - I won't hesitate to wash mine pretty often. I'd love a non- or slow-fade version for actual work, but I'll be in for the black anyway if they come back in my size!

RE: IHSH-397-IND - 21oz Sashiko Work Shirt - Indigoposted in Shirting
@pechelman Love my 380, but to me it's more a textured dobby than a real sashiko. I think this 21oz is closer to a proper (machine-made) sashiko of the kind that Pure Blue Japan etc specialise in. I passed on this one, but predicable second thoughts kicking in now

like an 80s Toyota
More a 70s Datsun vibe for me, but yeah, it's old skool

@Easystride no durability worries with this one, it's indestructible if you're not drywalling in it. Have fun with it!

@Easystride medium sounds right. I'd like to be a fly on the wall when you first handle it. It's at the heavyweight end of the spectrum even for IH!

RE: IHSH-399-ORA - 12oz Slubby Heavy Flannel Check Western Shirt - Orangeposted in Shirting
I woke at 3am from a flannel fever dream, pyjamas (non-IH) soaked with sweat & managed to order an XL before drifting back to sleep. I'm glad I did as they were gone by morning. I've never worked harder to get someone to take my A$500 for a shirt, but I'm confident this is my perfect flannel!

It's 1am here, gotta get to bed. I'll come back in the morning and have a hard stare at the numbers on that last 4XL.
