I've always wondered if the difference between an American speaking English and someone from the UK speaking it is audible to a non native speaker.

Trompe Le Monde was the first Pixies album I got, way back in the early 90s. Not sure it's my favourite of theirs per se, but definitely the one with the most memories.

@pechelman the felt wears off pretty quick on my pairs. IFAIK it's there so they get import tax as slippers not shoes as they come in to some countries.

There are 22 working days in a month, so people in the UK often get over a month of holiday a year, just not taken all in one go. The shutdowns in Europe are mostly just in factories I believe, I'd imagine you can be more efficient doing it that way - you need fewer staff as you don't have to allow for holiday cover, and the costs of running a closed factory will be much less than a running one.

For my American friends' sake I wish the US would catch up on the need for work life balance and proper worker's rights.

In my experience 666 is slimmer in the top block and wider in the hem than 511. Levi’s are terribly inconsistent in their sizing though so YMMV

@flannel-slut Those Kirkland Ts and their wool mix socks are probably the best value for money clothing anywhere. The Ts are a little big (the smallest they do here is a medium), but great to wear under shirts etc.
