@worn2fade Thanks for the intense story, that was fun to read. Even if the washing experience was nerve-racking, looking at the pictures you nailed the post wash fit!
@Yoprst You are in for a treat, 25oz should be right around the corner. But yeah I believe 19/21oz no plans.
@worn2fade Oh man, I was really enjoying your journey with the jacket. Was it the sizing being little on the relaxed size that made the decision of letting go of the jacket? What are you planning to replace it with?
I made python3 code for this, if you want to run, find online python compiler for example (https://www.online-python.com/) and paste the below code and run.
original_inseam = float(input("Original inseam? "))
hemmed_inseam = float(input("Hemmed inseam? "))
knee = float(input("Knee? "))
hem = float(input("Hem? "))
lower = original_inseam - 13
taper = knee - hem
tpi = taper / lower
result = hem + (original_inseam - hemmed_inseam) * tpi
print(result)
Not sure if this has been asked requested before but will do anyway. So I was looking for peacoat and when doing research of them found out that vintage ones used kersey wool before it was phased to melton wool (I assume due to cost).
Looking at modern peacoats there is no kersey wool option available. Even kersey wool jackets in general, I have noticed only one brand making them. From quick search I was unable to find out why modern kersey wool is not used, especially since what I've gathered it is basically superior to melton wool.
Thought it would be good to ask you guys since you make kersey cotton shirts and of course you have knowledge about these things.
So question why isn't kersey wool used in modern jackets? Would Iron heart make one out of it? For example the peacoat.
Interesting, there are still smaller sizes in stock at https://www.jeanswerk.ch/products/ih-634-xhsbb

@Jcaz6996 welp, that’s just some badassery developing right there dude. I’m a 5th grade teacher. Gonna have to start body slamming these kids to get that kind of fade action. Be good for my mental health too hahaha
Was reading through this thread for fun just like you had mentioned in here.
This comment was so funny, set me laughing my ass off haha.
And those fades currently, clearly the body slamming method worked
@John-Galt Everytime you post to waywt, I am guessing 19l and I am almost always right. Awesome fades!
@m4xime Got the same result for you
@worn2fade I see, yeah good call on the length, it does make a big difference. Unmodified must be it then, if you prefer shorter length.
@Denimhead-0 You are rotating pairs so much and still getting this much evolution. Amazing, keep on going!
@NickD Those cuffs are mint!
