      @M800sct1

      Joking aside.

Previously 3 OD Items that I have bought in XL and I then aggressively soaked with the intention of achieving a little further shrinkage if possible, all tightened up to drop by over a ½ inch in the Chest and a ½ inch in length and sleeve.

      These items were:.

      • 12 Oz Western OD Shirt. SIize XL
      • 14 Oz Type 3 OD Jacket. Size XL
      • 18 Oz Vintage OD CPO Jacket. Size XL

Other dimensions I did not measure as these 3 dimensions were the ones that I was hoping for a little further shrinkage in.

      @CosmoSix5

Still think you can get almost a half Size out the OD in a really hot 60° + bath soak with some Powder and agitation added.

      @pechelman

I know it's only my 2 Cents, however I did lose almost half a Size on an 18Oz OD CPO Denim Shirt with a really hot Bath Soak (60° + with Woolite added and agitation).

This Denim also was not meant to shrink with having been through the aggressive OD process but sizing definitely went down across the board.

This was on an XL that was just a little loose. And final dimensions were almost right bang in the middle between L and XL averages which worked out to perfection.

The Woolite heped ensure no real colour loss.

      Hope this helps.

      Hey Goosehd. Thanks for that.

Helps significantly. Think I understand the Fabrics a little better now.

      Cheers thanks for that Goosehd.
One othe query you naybe be able to help me with. I have the 14oz Indigo OD in Type III.

In your opinion would I notice a massive difference between the 19 L OD than the 14 OD.

Trying to get my head around it to see if I can justify the purchase of the 19 L OD to myself.

I know additional weight isnt everything when it comes down to wearability as in both my 666 Jeans and Type III Jackets I seam to prefer the heavier 21oz to 14 oz because of the additional breathability and permeability the fabric appears to have over the similar 14oz.

      Hooe that makes sense.

Can I ask a questionn of all those ultra knowledgeable Ironheart Fans and wealth of helpful Staff on this Site.

Was the 19 LOD initially brought in to replace the 21OD and also when and why was te 21OD dropped from the Standard Stock Ironheart lineup in the first instance.
      Cheers.

Got the 14oz OD which I love and it gets a fair bit of wear.
I wonder looking at the Pics and the comments on the similarities and differences as to whether I need both in my Arsenal.

      Hey.
Probably been noticed already by others, but I've just realised as I keep my eye open for the new drop of the 19 oz Lefty OD, that the description info for the 19 oz Lefty Indigo appears to suggest that this will now be Sanforised.
Am I missing something or is this info awaiting an update.
      Cheers.

      Cheers. Thanks for that.

Certainly my 2 year old 14 OZ OD Type 3 has faded nicely with really light Indigo coming through on the arm crease sets in particular. ( likely the older type then).

Will post photos when next home. In the Alps at the momewnt with my Work.

I don't really understand although I did read Graham's comments previously.

What difference does the method of OD dying actually make to the Jacket in the long term !? 🤔

    • RE: IH-526J-142 - 14oz Selvedge Denim Modified Type III - Indigo

Hi Guys Any Ideas when this Jacket might restock in Size XL.

I had the chance to get one in Feb when it was previously in, but decided then to wait for the 21oz or the 19oz Lefty release.

Though I have the 14oz OD already I think on reflection I just really like the weight of it either for just a T Shirt below or Layering, whereas the more I think about it the 19 oz Lefty and the 21oz are probably just going to be very warm for me to layer with, particularly when I run warm anyway.
      Cheers.

Congratulations to the Ironheart Team on the superb new Site.
Pretty much every Base seams to have been covered.
I'm surprised how interactive and friendly it is even to someone like me a self confessed Liddite when it comes to I.T or Modern World Technology.
      Well Done the Ironheart Team.

      Thankyou Miizmazzle.
Looked back on the thread and saw your postings and comments.
Goin to try the smaller Large as opposed to the XL first I think.
If the other measurements work for me in the Large I may not require to get the sleeves altered whereas the XL would definitely need them altered.
I'm not convinced that I would be able to find someone locally that would make a decent job of shortening the sleeves for me.
      Thanks Again.

      Thanks Guys.
Against some sound constructive advice, think I'm goin to try the smaller Large Size first as pretty uncomfortable entrusting someone in my vicinity to make a Professional job of shortening the sleeves on the XL.
It may work for me as I very seldom ever fasten a type3 Denim Jacket and this may be be similar.
      Cheers.

Thanks for that Graham. The sleeves were just scaring me a bit on the XL whilst everything else seams reasonable.
How is the sleeves on you, and if I needed to shorten, who could you suggest I use to do this in the Uk and that you know would make a professional job of it. Also the likely cost of this to factor in.
      With Thanks.

Thanks Guys for your comments and insights and apologies for my late reply however was away on a Course with strictly limited access to the modern World for a week or so.
Still undecided from the comments what size to ultimately go for on this Jacket. Want it to fit over a Denim Shirt or UHF mainly, but still to be OK when worn just over a T occasionally. As my shirts are a mix of L and XL the sensible decision may be the XL but still worried its goin to feel too roomy and hangy in the main. Graham what size are you on this Jacket I'm normally similar to you and Olly in general, though a little smaller on some shirts than you sometimes wear. Cheers. Mark

I know I certainly have a Pair of Lace Up Boots in Roughout and Engineers in Roughout that have been wet right through on a few occasions and they always brush up as good as new after being allowed to dry naturally at room temperature.

I'm between sizes in Iron Heart Westerns. Standard Indigos normally Large and OD's normally XL. A mix of both sizes in UHF's, Large in Kersey and XL in Serge.
Defo think the Steer would be better to try in the Large allbeit the Chest looks a little neat. The Dimensions of the sleeves along with the waist and opening is putting me off the XL in comparison to my 14 oz OD type lll in XL.

Anyone had the opportunity to try on both the L and XL in the Steer before!?
