Which size did you go for? They look quite narrow in the front.
I would be definitely in for a remake. Imho it is way more versatile than the regular N1 deck jacket due to the longer body and the hood. A black and/or oiled version would be great.

How about an IHM-15 Deck Half-Coat in the Oiled Whipcord fabric?
I find the IHM-15 a lot more versatile than the Deck Jackets: longer body, so no cold butt during winter and a hood that offers great protection.
I tried these a while back, but had to return them, since the height of the toe box was not big enough. My toes went nearly numb from the pressure above. I wonder, if anybody else has experienced this?
It was my first try with a pair with the MP95 last, and the width and length were perfect. I really love my Jobmaster in the 9165 last.
