I just picked up one of these second-hand from Japan. Beautifully faded and super-soft, I love it.

Ok boys, it is done. I went to Hachioji, looked at both the denim and indigo wabash versions. I never really stood a chance. The wabash is lovely, but IH denim is IH denim.
The 21oz denim version actually does not feel so heavy. And if it softens with use, it will be perfect.
Thank you for the guidance.

@Oaktavia When in Tokyo, one must make the pilgrimage. I loved every minute.
I just received size XL after retuning L (my usual IH size) and it is the perfect fit. I'm 185cm, 73kg. Sleeve length or shoulder width are not an issue.
Advice for future buyers:

Thank you boys. I will definitely try to compare them side-by-side.
I'm biased towards getting the 21oz denim version, mainly because this may be the only 21oz piece I will own. Too hot over here for heavy jeans or jackets.
However, it if is not practical, then the 14oz wabash is the way to go.
But, I foresee that my biggest problem will be that once I see them side by side, I will want to buy both
I definitely second the 'slim cut' on this one. It is very slim.
My other IH jacket (IHJ-124-BRN) and all shirts (IHSH-328-GRN, HSH-330-BLK, IHSH-288-IND) are size L, and they are all generously-sized for my frame. I even tracked down another Type 3 modified in a store (IHJ-121-IND) and size L was the right size. The chest (P2P) measurements for the green IH-526-ODG are narrower, but I thought it would be ok.
But when the IH-526-ODG arrived, it was fine everywhere, except across the chest. Noticeably tight, to the point that when I puffed up my somewhat puny chest, the front was pulling the buttons apart.
Other than that, it's such a lovely jacket. I just printed the return label... Sigh.
XL is not available from IHUK, but I tracked one down through Garmentory, shipped from Brooklyn Clothing in Canada. The dumb things we do for Iron Heart: a Japanese jacked, bought from Canada, shipped to Australia via the US
I just got one of these from a Japanese second-hand site. I love it - the fabric, the colour, the alpaca/wool lining - it's great.
Buying online without being able to try the item on, and without the ability to return is a little scary. I went through a bit of a thought process before committing.
Here are some sizing notes, in case they are helpful for others:
