My other 888's in size 31 are pretty much right at 31" for the waist measurement -- and are on-point, not overly tight or anything.

The XHS that I'm considering in size 30 measures 30.5" -- and size 31 measures 31.5". (All measured IH method).

Newbie here.

I'm puzzling over the sizing of the IH-888-XHS 25 oz. -- in relation to the 888's that are sanforized and one-washed.

Did you go with the same size, or drop down a size (factoring in a shrink from initial soak/wash, then stretching back)?

I'm size 31 in the IH-888S-142, IH-888S-142bb, and IH-888S-21 -- all perfect fits. The measurements for size 30 in the XHS look like a close dimensional match to those, whereas size 31 looks like it would be a tad too loose.

Re-reading the 1,132+ postings here (including related questions/answers from Nashville60, Yannis, edubz, popvulture, schraiber) and elsewhere on the interwebs, and still muddled -- and would appreciate your advices and suggestions.
